They've got youtube and the like to discover music from. And there are very good hip hop and rap artists out there, but alas they rarely make it to the radio. As for Green Day, I'm not sure what tracklist everyone is referring to. The "single art" looks okay to me, i hope its expanded upon though. Please delete if not allowed. A quick skim on google tells me this about Mr. Pirkle: The part about him working with Gibson peaked my interests because we know Billie has worked closely with them before. He also went to music school with Scheps and has written 2 books, along with making mixing technology. It would be nice to see what Pirkle was referencing, because I can't find any info about albums that he's worked on. It might indicate a few things about Bang Bang's sound. Also what does a bite knob do? anything thats been posted publicly is cool, but I'm frowning on the semi-realistic track lists at the moment. jordanlolss
I know this doesn't exactly relate, but that image kind of reminds me of the single for Fall Out Boy's comeback single. It's basically a bunch of their old records burning, supposed to signify their comeback and whatnot
Libertine Angel
I wouldn't be at all surprised at fire imagery being in it, considering Demolicious talked about burning the house down.

I'm from a pretty urban area, but most of the time if you ask any college kid what they like, 70% will cite at least one of these guys: - Drake - Future - Chance And then there's the kids that listen to alternative, like... - 21 Pilots - X Ambassadors - Cage the Elephant But honestly it just depends on who you run with. Most of my friends don't listen to the radio at all because the radio prohibits songs about torture.

And some only listen to older stuff not because they like it but to try be edgy and different. I went to school with some people like that i hated those people. I hope it's huge too, but "real music" seems like pretentious phrase :/ I really wish this single will be fast paced and energetic, really get people to take notice. This isn't happening, but I dream of where Green Day plays some shows with just Billie, Mike and Tre. Jason for songs like St. Jimmy or Platypus. It would be cool to see and really nail the return to fast paced stuff if the resurgence of Insomniac material is any indication.
Sarcasm
Can we just agree that N.W.A and Notorious B.I.G was the best at what they did and stop talking about how Drake is rightfully overrated in the Bang Bang thread?
Clockwise
I think this album could be pretty big. Especially with blink doing really well with California, it does seem like Alternative is making a comeback. Could be good timing if the single does well. Imagine being born in 2001, those kids will basically like the same bands as we do but start at different albums. Hopefully GD delivers, Bang Bang could for all we know be a massive radio hit.
