I guess if you do have contacts you don't want to annoy them with every little detail found on the Internet. We should know for sure in a few days anyway regardless. Well you're assuming they're naming it after that, and I'm saying they're unrelated. They can like the name and have never heard the podcast. RedundantIdiot
Wow, I really like it. If it's genuine it'll be perfect for the new album. Hurry up, Thursday!

I'm sure they'd do some research and see that Revolution Radio is the name of a popular, highly political podcast/website that supports one side, so might not be the best idea unless they were trying to make a statement. But you could be right, who knows.
Beerjeezus
Exactly. This is like saying I was named after this lady.

Why would iHeart even put this up (even though we don't know if this is the real cover) if the single isn't supposed to be out until Aug 11th? I mean they're a "professional" music business. They wouldn have to worry about this.

Even Blink's new single was leaked the night before the release date because their manager forgot to put the lyric video on private after uploading it! haha

The only exception to this we've seen is renaming March of the Dogs to East Jesus Nowhere, but I don't know that it was ever confirmed that it was renamed because another song with the same name existed. I could see March of the Dogs having the marching clip from the beginning of Horseshoes and Handgrenades. I might actually make that edit cause it sounds like it'd work. AmyxLongview
Hmm, the art doesn't look very Green Day-ish to me. I'm doubting it's legit, but I wouldn't mind if it was the real art.

BucksCoEric
I know we dont know if that is official artwork for a single or the album but i already like that artwork better than any artwork from the trilogy
solongfromthestars
I quite like that artwork, I think it could work as the cover. Agreed that it could become iconic depending on what the song's like. If it is real, I really doubt it's a "fuck the trilogy" thing though. I know people want to believe the band hate it but they've never shown anything but positive feelings towards it, and even if they do feel negatively now, they're (publicly) not the types to dwell on things so it's unlikely to be related. jordanlolss
I think it's kind of pointless to assume something isn't real just because it doesn't fit the style of their previous work. I mean, if you saw this without the "GREEN DAY" on it, would you have believed it was the artwork for a Green Day single?

You can't copyright a title trademark issues maybe but as one is a title of a website and one might be an album they're in different media so the trademark may not matter
