We need someone to tell us if this is a placeholder or not goddamit.

This seems a little too elaborate to be a placeholder, in my humble opinion.

Did a google backwards search and nothing popped up. This is the only picture.

Holy fuck.

My only hesitation is that it doesn't seem at all in the style of the artist who's doing the cover art.

That's what I thought. Placeholders are usually pretty basic

If this is real, it's interesting they would go with the imagery again. They used a boom box in the artwork for Kill the DJ too.

Has the band ever used different artists for single covers Vs album covers?

Subtle way of putting that stage of their career behind them?

The boom box on fire may mean sth like "fuck the trilogy"

I will caution people, as I'm one to do, to try not to read too much into it unless we have some more information.

People said the same about the Demolicious cover

The only thing I find weird about the whole 'Revolution Radio' thing is that I find it hard to believe Green Day would name their album after a popular conspiracy theory website/podcast. They've always seemed pro Obama/Liberalism and Revolution Radio is very anti-Obama pro Trump/Alex Jones type stuff. I dunno, guess it doesn't matter and sounds kinda cool.

That's true, but I suppose it's possible that they used a different artist for this single's cover (due to either the availability of Frank Maddocks, or the desire to work with another artist).

I've tried to be relatively reserved and calm about the new album, but that (potential) cover has excited me a great deal.  While they went full promotional machine on the trilogy, the radio on fire says to me that they're gonna let the music do the talking this time round, and it's gonna be explosive and blow us away.

Whether this turns out to be the single artwork or not, I do know one thing: holy fuck am I excited.

Do we have anyone to confirm or deny this?

Acknowledging problems in your government doesn't make you a conspiracy theorist.

I can almost guarantee that this is not at all related.

If that is the cover I like the simplicity of it but looking at Maddock's work made me expect something else. I guess I'll live with this if it's the cover. Not bad. I like that it's a clear statement.
