Billie post a rehearsal set list with RevRad and Bang Bang, lots of fast-paced Insomniac tracks and a couple other songs.

The reintroduction of Insomniac tracks, even in just rehearsal, feels like a good indicator that there will be some high energy songs on this record. My body is so ready. I predict the song BANG BANG will end with Billie and Mike shouting "Bang Bang!" Thats what I hear in my head at least. Just like Tré in Let Yourself Go, "GOTTA LET IT GO! GOTTA LET IT GOOOO!" 3 minutes ago, Dakke said: Billie post a rehearsal set list with RevRad and Bang Bang, lots of fast-paced Insomniac tracks and a couple other songs. There's another song in the setlist that begins with Say and it's cut off. If that's not a new song, I can't for the life of me think of any songs that begin with Say

Billie Hoe
I'm listening to Kerplunk in it's entirety right now to get a feeling of how the new album could more or less sound like, given the two reviews comparing Bang Bang to very early Green Day. And it really excites me because Billie's voice has matured a lot in those 24 years and his singing got so much better since then. It just makes me think that his voice won't be ironed out to no end and the guitar sounds will be a lot more raw, which is just amazing. So maybe it will be similar to Kerplunk... but better I honestly can't wait for the first listen. 4 minutes ago, Jessie Armstrong said: I hope it's a cover of Say It Ain't So by Weezer. If the 'Say' is just 'Stay the Night' misspelled I'll be disappointed lol. I doubt it though but it's possible
jacknovella
I wonder what Rev Rad actually is? I've heard it could be something like Revolution Radio, but what if it is actually just Rev Rad?

PleasedToMeetMe
This album has the potential to be massive. Everyone seems to have forgotten about the trilogy with the excitement of the new single. Also, there must have been inspiration up the ass. The rehab, the cancer, Billie playing shows with the fucking Replacements, being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, playing the Sweet Children show with John . . . it's all stuff that's never happened before, and I think this album is going to be a product of all of that excitement. Holy crap. Edit: I then actually read the article and realized it wasn't Billie.

localinsomniac
I'm warming to the idea of another loose concept album. I was happy to have some straight up rock n roll songs when the trilogy came out, but I'm starting to remember the emotions the previous two albums made me feel. Oh and what's with the lightning bolts in everyone's usernames?

I was also looking closely at the setlist and immediately recognized this as a new one. I then thought "Say it Ain't So" and immediately realized there was no way in hell they'd be covering this during rehearsals...although I think we'd all lose our minds if we ever had a setlist with Armitage/ Scattered/ Contradiction and a great Weezer cover mixed in. Also, it will never happen, but a lifelong musical fantasy has been a Weezer/ GD tour, but I digress... Also, I hate to slag on any of their songs, because anything by these guys at this point is a blessing, but seeing KYE (assuming this is what "Enemy" is) on there was a buzzkill- guys, keep it off! But if that's what they want to do- so be it. I'm not about to criticize too much- they are back and I am absolutely convinced this album is going to be the best we've heard in a long time.
