How "big" do you guys think they are going with this tour? I feel I'm a little worried due to the length of the last tour, even though I know the reasons behind it. The guys seem very postive and ready to go which is great. But do you think they might come around twice, like with 21st century breakdown where they toured europe twice (Fall 2009/Summer 2010)?

I suppose there's no reason to not make this as big as possible. Touring makes more money than record sales these days so I think a big tour is a given.

I don't think you should be worried about the last tour.  I get the feeling it was so short because it was a compromise when the band really didn't want to/weren't fit to tour at all.

i'm really curious about what size venues they'll be playing this time around. i know that before they cancelled part of the trilogy tour they had a whole run of smaller theater shows planned and i'd love for them to do something like that...but at the same time getting tickets would be a nightmare so idk :P

The leaked Paris venue (Bercy = same as 2009) indicates that this will be a regular arena tour.

Oh yes, I would absolutely fucking love to see them in somewhere smaller again.

I'm thinking arena tour with the odd stadium or small venue date thrown in.

that could very well mean they're only playing arenas this time around but if i recall correctly the theater shows they had planned for the trilogy tour were only for the first few weeks of the US tour and then the rest of the venues were all arenas. they could do a mix of both. for the most part, their shows in europe are a lot bigger than their shows in north america anyway, any idea how many the paris venue holds?

Yes! Going to be checking in here regularly whilst at work tomorrow! A Green Day tour announcement will break the day up nicely :P

Then I can start plotting which shows to go to!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much at the moment in case these announcements aren't for green day, but at the same time it's making me super excited for this upcoming tour! :)

On that note does anyone remember how fast the arena dates during 21CB sold out?

If I remember correctly some sold really fast, i'm sure Glasgow sold really fast but there were a couple that didn't. I might be wrong though, I have the worst memory!

I'm 99% sure it's green day because of the southside-festival post on facebook with the gif (marking tomorrow's day on a calender with a green highlighter, how obvious is that????) and i think they'll make a MASSIVE announcement tomorrow for both north america (this year) and europe (arena tour in winter/spring and festivals in june/july 2017). They won't announce southside only tomorrow. Especially not if tickets for paris (earlier than southside festival!!!) go on sale this friday.
