That guy is a very reliable source, he always announces shows in advance!

It's a matter of time before they announce the world tour :)

If they come to the UK in March that will be fucking brilliant, SLF are doing their 40th Anniversary tour too.

If they go on sale on the 9th "the matter of time" has to be like today.

Tour announcement will be soon, but I have to complain. It looks like the European tour will be during my exams

Well it happens the tour dates are announced on Monday and then tickets are on sale the following Friday. So the announcement could be done by this weekend or early next week.

Aren't shows announced a week before the tickets go on sale? At least that's the usual setting where I live.

This basically means (assuming the date and location is correct) that we're getting a first North American leg after the album release through mid-December, a European stadium/arena tour in late winter early spring, a second American leg or an Australian/Japanese in May/June and the usual European festivals in early summer (RaR, Pinkpop, Glastonbury, Werchter etc). I just hope they don't come to my country in the middle of the exams.

Haha. I'm crossing my fingers for a summer ('winter' down under) concert, though I ain't complaining about a late winter show.

So does Green Day usually announce the whole tour at the same time or seperately? (I know they announced the dates seperately for the trilogy eu-tour, but was that because of Billie rehab?)

So US dates could also be announced this week.

A band I followed is touring Canada in November and they announced all of their dates today.

Granted they aren't that huge and it's small tour, but it's still about 2 months in advance.

All I know is that for 21stCB they announced the US dates a couple of weeks(?) earlier than the European ones.

If I remember right, in 2012 the first date we had was also in France, Rock in Seine. Then we got some random dates announced in different days pretty much, but that wasn't really a proper tour  (the 2012 one) so I don't know if it counts.

If tickets were to go on sale on Friday 9th (which doesn't seem implausible), I'd expect presale tickets on Wednesday 7th and the announcement of the dates on either Friday 2nd or Monday 5th.  If we haven't heard anything by the end of Monday, then I'll start to become a bit more sceptical of this info.
