There's nothing wrong with being Skeptical without having that yet, and it's a shame to see the feathers of Green Day fans can be ruffled so easily lol ? You may not be saying what these GD fans want to hear but it is valid. They seem to be ignoring the fact you are more than happy if something comes out this week. Just imagine believing everything you hear in this day in age and it not coming from Green Day themselves. Could not imagine a radio giving out that information. The article says that 'they were going to be played some new songs Wednesday, August 3' .. Although, I guess that can interpreted both ways lol. Steven Seagull
There's no difference really. Now the radio station gave that information away as well. So we also got the "na-na na-na boo-boo you can't listen!!". The only difference is that we got it from the radio station which makes it worse, because we can't really be sure that is true. If Green Day announced it on social media we would know that the new album rumors are official and it would also feel a bit more personal to the fans. That @HeyOldManInWomansShoes guy that nobody really knows who he is dropping mysterious hints that might be true or maybe not. Jeff Matika posting the picture of the rehearsal and then deleting it, so people think it shouldn't be public knowledge yet, which makes everybody more excited. A radio show host announcing new Green Day songs like it's no biggie. Green Day probably know that we're all fucking insane by now and desperate enough to grasp for every straw, so they drop these hints on purpose so we investigate and get everybody hyped up ourselves. So that when the actual announcement comes, we'll be even happier because of all the suspense, you know what I mean? To be honest, if we didn't hear anything at all and they just suddenly decided to announce it, I don't think people would have been as excited as they are now (and probably will be when the bomb drops.) Okay, conspiracy theory over

I'm not setting myself up for disappointment in believing something that hasn't been confirmed 'properly' by Green Day or the radio station.. But if it happens.. Great! A radio announced that Green Day will play them some songs and we fans are happy because something's happening. If Green Day officially announced on social media that they're playing songs privately for the radio, there would just be thousands of angered fans. What would be the point of Green Day announcing this? If a radio announces it it helps their brand and it reaches the core fanbase so we're all happy. And again, why are you questioning this? Andres says he's been through this process multiple times before. It's legit, get over it.

Great! lol a random radio station premiering something like this. If Green Day was smart they would release it on Apple Music. A radio station worth listening to in 2k16 and a lot more reliable with releasing new exclusive shit first.

Don't support a local radio station from your hometown, just give all the publicity and money to Apple, they really need it!

Just because you do it on Apple doesn't mean you are doing it for the money. If you outdated forumers actually realized that its great for debuting music to a large crowd due to being broadcasted around the world then ok. I found out about this from the GDA post on Facebook yesterday, and only read this artical: http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/5277/ And it doesn't saying anything about this being a private listen only for the radio station. Still seems strange that they would do that, but I guess something like that wouldn't require massive promotion.

Fuzz
Alright let's kill the negativity here. Ultimately it doesn't matter if you guys believe something or not. We'll all know within the week if it's true or not. Everyone sitting back and trying to analyze everyone else's intentions is going no where. What at we know for sure is that the radio station said Green Day was going to give their program director a chance to listen to some new music this week. They said it on the air, confirmed that with multiple people afterward. We we also know they are rehearsing because Jeff posted a picture and we noticed Billie's guitars in the background. The same ones he posted on Instagram a week ago saying "see ya later alligator" Thats enough to be excited about. So everyone got off each other's balls and be happy. I know you guys want news and would even rely on a guy with one post but damn man there is nothing wrong with us feeling very iffy about all of this. If they are as big of a band still as most people would say they are, why not reach out to one of the biggest radio stations like I mention before to reach all fans? This is not about "reaching all the fans", is about sharing some songs with the staff of LIVE 105. The time will eventually come for sharing everything with the fans. Fuzz
Alright, time for some moderatin'. I know some of you are skeptical, that's fine with me. It's good to be skeptical. But we're not going to have two or three people derail this thread just arguing back and forth with everyone else. I've removed a handful of comments here and will continue to keep an eye on it. Be skeptical, that's fine, no need to be confrontational about it.
