LPbilliejr
Think of how different the trilogy era would've been if it was the three albums cut into one ? X kid, Stay the night, oh love, nuclear family, 99 rev, Let yourself Go, Missing you, Angel Blue....8th ave, throw in stop when the red lights flash and lazy bones? we can debate the final cut but holy shit wouldn't things have been different? Like Demolicious

Like Demolicious I've often wondered what one album with Stay the Night, Carpe Diem, Oh Love, SWTRLF, Lazy Bones, Baby Eyes, Brutal Love, Missing You, X-Kid, Walk Away, DRB and 99 Rev, combined with the grittier sound we heard on Demolicious would've achieved. It certainly could have garnered more critical acclaim.

Like Demolicious It's been discussed many times. If they cut it down to one many songs would have to be left off. Sounds all good to the people who dislike it, but would of left off songs I and others may of liked. So I still see no point in doing such thing,
Steven Seagull
Exactly, why would anyone want to cut so many awesome songs? Normal fans want more songs only GDC gets this stupid idea that it would be better if we got less songs.

So if people were digging through YouTube for stuff labelled as "Unreleased Green Day" they would wondered why they never released it if they cut it down to one album. So my point is still valid

Clockwise
I don't think it matters that we wouldn't have known some songs existed. As it stands, everybody loves different songs from the trilogy, so if it were just one album it would still be divisive and you may not have gotten some of your favorite GD songs. So although it's a mixed bag, I think it was a completely worthwhile experiment.

Like Demolicious I like more than 12 of the songs on the trilogy. In fact, I love more than 12 of the songs. Sure, you could have made one awesome album, but then we'd have missed out on so many excellent songs. Whether we'd have known about them or not is moot, since I know now that I am happier having them in my music library, even if I hadn't been made unhappy by not having them. Hermione
I like trilogy vocals for their clearness and Insomniac vocals for their moody punkiness, I think both worked for their respective albums. My least favourite vocals are on Warning, they're decent enough overall but it sounds like he has some kind of mild speech impediment. I don't know if it was because he had a chipped tooth at the time or just the way he chose to sing or what but at times it kind of sounds like he's slobbering or has a slight lisp. I think you're right, but that actually makes me like his Warning vocals even more. The difference between that and the vocals on AI is pretty remarkable though. i love the trilogy vocals, probably one of my favorite vocal performances he's done as well. I like how you can pretty much hear every breath he takes
