Putting the album over 40 minutes has nothing to do with it. I already conceded that lyrically it doesn't fit, but if you listen to Ashley, Revolution Radio and Baby Eyes together, you'd see that it fits nicely, especially the tempo.

Agree to disagree

Can't believe it's taken me so long to properly appreciate Makeout Party.  It has the most wonderful bass and guitar solos that I've heard a hundred times but never really properly listened to, it seems.  It's just skyrocketed from my bottom 5 trilogy songs to my top 10.

Thank God at least someone is coming round. It's such a cool song musically. I've always considered one of the most energetic trilogy songs.

Now go listen to Lady Cobra :P

Lady Cobra is one of my fave trilogy songs! Can't say the same about Makeout Party though :P

Trilogy will always be bomb, I like it. Even if it does have my least favourite Green Day song on it "wild one".

Personally love the guitar tone throughout.

Still think they missed out not playing 3/4 of these songs live

Wild One is your least favorite Green Day song ever?

You like Last Ride In more?

You like Strangeland more?

Absolutely, I like Rest more too.

Wild One is like 3 minutes too long

Wild One and Makeoutparty are incredible, I want some of those drugs you guys are having.

I find Wild One just repetitive and too long. If it was half the length I probably wouldn't mind it as much.

I dont mind it's lenght since I find the song to be sweet and I really enjoy the lyrics.

I like those songs more than Wild One too. I can't really explain why I'm so 'meh' about Wild One. It just feels like it should be like 3x faster or something.

3x???

It would be too frantic, no thanks. It's perfect as it is, soothing and sweet.

Last ride in is awesome. It's so calming. I love the surf rock feel to it.

I do agree that strangeland sucks.

Since when has Last Ride In been a weaker song of their discography?

When reflecting on the whole Trilogy era, I've come to realize it's pretty clear that Dos! is the darkest record of the three, even though it's not apparent superficially (aside from Lazy Bones). The whole aspect of losing control over one's desire and going too far in one's excesses is definitely a red line throughout the album. It's less random than Uno! and it exemplifies in a certain way what was going on with Billie post-21CB, much more than Uno! or Tré! do. I've certainly come to regard Nightlife as a far more sinister song than I originally did.

Wild One is psychedelic fabulousness, it can go on as long as it wants! Love that guitar solo.

How is it psychedelic?

It sounds psychedelic . Not sure what the official definition of a psychedelic sound is but it has psychedelic '60s vibes.

Hoping these postponed tour dates don't spiral into a bigger problem and RevRad ends up with the Trilogy Treatment.   There's a new term for Failure, haha.   "Did you hear about the Blair Witch movie?   It got the Trilogy Treatment"  Haha.

Wild One is great.
