For some reason I thought they hit Syracuse on the AI tour, but they definitely didn't, that was Binghamton.

I'm not surprised they've never done Syracuse, it's a complete shit hole.

aside from Dinosaur BBQ and the Lost Horizons venue, I don't really have much reason to go there haha

There's supposedly some big revitalization thing going on right now but I'll believe it when I see it. Syracuse did just get a brand new amphitheater though, that's the only reason I even put it on my list of Upstate possibilities haha

(Did not read the first few pages; would have taken too long) Wasn't this rescinded by the band? Should we still even have this thread if the band doesn't want this information released yet?

I mean, it was sooooo bitchin' to have this info released on my birthday; but Jason Freese supposedly shut up about this topic real quick; and I was told that GDA was contacted by the band's management to retract this information. I personally don't want to know any news or hear any leaks before it's officially announced. I'm just as excited as the rest of you (though, the trilogy really did fuck up my excitement and view of the band) but shouldn't we wait until there's an official announcement from the management?

Just to say, if this is in fact true, I'm jumping and screaming just like a bunch of the rest of you

The info was pulled (I posted an edit on the first page) as we were told info wasn't accurate. I think it's alright to have the thread so people can talk about this and we'll just consider it a rumor unless we hear otherwise.

don't get me started!!!!

i'm a huge BBQ guy. i'll admit, it's hard to find really good BBQ in NY, but i've driven an hour in all directions to try and find amazing bbq, and when i'm on a road trip i make it a point to find bbq places. dinosaur BBQ was started in syracuse and over the last few years they've become a chain and opened a lot of restaurants, and they're the only place up here i've had that always puts out good food. I've only ever been to the cuse and rochester ones and they've been really good. I make it myself all the time, i have a decent smoker and i know how to use it. Brisket is the one thing i haven't mastered yet, and that's the hardest thing to cook, so you're lucky you're in Austin! Seriously, if i ever take a food based vacation it's going to be to austin or memphis.

I kind of feel like what Jason said was the truth.  But the band / management just doesn't want the information out yet.  For whatever reason.

oh shit, i thought i remember you mentioning something about austin on here, my bad. the impression that i get is that texas has a pretty different taste preference than most places, i feel like they don't like sweet bbq. i've had brisket at dino that was cut from the flat and that was mediocre, but i've also had slices that included meat from the point and that was incredible. and yeah, i've read some odd things about memphis, like how they are more about charcoal cooking and not necessarily about the smoke flavor, which is lame in my book, but i also wanna visit memphis to see sun studio

Okay fair game, New York has some pretty good  pizza. Deep dish is meh, but if you try some true Chicago thin crust pizza, It's amazing. If you ever come to the Chicago area try ordering some Rosati's (Thin crust) pizza.

And yeah... curse. But you can't deny that our Cubs are absolutely stacked this year.

We don't have the best BBQ in Chicago, I go down to Kansas City though sometimes however. They have great BBQ

Only thing worst than backseat modders are people who want to call out others for backseat modding.
