Here is some more information.  It is a panel discussion on the creativity process and why so many creative people chose the Bay Area.  I really wish I was a Berkley student.  It sounds like it could be a really fascinating discussion

It's no surprise Lars chose Billie  Metallica has been known to cover American Idiot a few times.

And Green Day sometimes play a little bit of Master of Puppets and played a song for their birthday a couple of years ago. They've mentioned before they're friends with Metallica, heard of them hanging out a few times. Which is cool.

This does sound interesting. Be good if it got recorded somehow.

i KNEW it  My boyfriend and I joke about Beej and Lars hanging out all the time, so when we saw the show announcement last night we couldn't stop laughing about it.
It's just too cute

Billie stands up. Hi, I'm Billie Joe Armstrong. I was born here, in the Bay Area and am ridiculously talented and creative. I get ideas, I write them down. They become songs. To be fair I don't recall much of the 90's so don't ask about the details. The end.

No one is going to hear him speak, they just want to stare at him for 2 hours.

There's always a professor though...once it's at a university setting there's always at least one standing there squinting in a judgemental manner. Otherwise he could just talk about tension and be fine

Billie Joe speaking to uni students is gonna be... interesting, to say the least.

I was going to say that his own kids are around the same age as some uni students
But I'm not sure if that helps the case or not

I think this means he can practice his speech at home :P

Sorry, double post. He's a bad public speaker but probably not a dumb person so I genuinely think a discussion with him would be intriguing.

He has actually gotten to be a much better speaker.  He will never be a great speaker, but he does not use the OK's all the time anymore and he doesn't fidget much anymore.

To be honest, I didn't check out most of his recent public speaking. He always seemed to have trouble getting across his thoughts. He just couldn't put a sentence together.

As much as I like Billie, listening to him in an interview is tedious and irritating to me. He takes way too long trying to get his point across and I get bored.
