But even if you both can't take any days off there's still hope for the weekends. So you could maybe focus on the shows they play then.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a Midwest weekend show that works with my schedule! I'm willing to drive anywhere and sleep as little as possible to make it happen. But with both my husband and I having somewhat sporadic schedules that typically include some sort of occasional nights/weekend coverage, it's probably going to come down to dumb luck and timing, so fingers crossed! :P

Savages. Here you usually can take a week off during first three months.

Ha, yeah, the U.S. really sucks at that sort of thing — paid maternity leave, vacation time, sick time, personal days, etc. is a disputed topic.

My hope for a May release is quickly becoming less and less realistic as March is passing with no peep from the band.

Yeah, so much for my May 10 birthday predictions. :(

Yeah, it is very exciting and based on the information I've received from someone who already works there, I have a pretty good shot of it all working out! But pretty much every modernized country in the world is nicer to its employees than the U.S., so I'm not very optimistic about what my days off will be looking like for the first year or so. My husband's situation could be even worse because he works in hospitals.

Hospital work is tough, stressful work... whatever he does. I always took hospital jobs for granted, a lot of people wonder why it takes so long. I never worked in a hospital, but I worked in as a pharmacy technician with an ex nurse who had a ton of stories for us. If I ever thought about complaining I just held it in because I knew my coworker would just 1 up me with some totally outrageous story. My manager, who who worked in a hospital for a couple years also had some crazy stories about people (working in other departments) messing up, going into corners and crying, etc. I could barely take working in a pharmacy (it's a lot more stressful than people realize) I couldn't imagine what it would be like to work in a hospital for a living.

This looks like what happened during 21cb. We had hints they were recording although everything was really quiet. greenday.com changed the layout and everything was announced not too long after. Exciting times to be a green day fan can't believe it's been 4 years since the trilogy.

Is it just the "heart like a handgrenade" colours? The font is still the same as the trilogy and the trilogy "x" icons are everywhere still.

Yeah, only color updates.  Got rid of the pink and blue and stuck with red, black, and white.

That really f'ing annoying HLAHG redirect is still present, however.

It could be a sign that something is coming though, I'm just trying keeping my expectations in check.

Edit: This was my 5000th post. Kind of a let down, I thought I would have had something better and more meaningful to say, or ya know that I might have realised that it was my 5000th post when I posted it

Always has been a sign, as I wrote on GDA

How long did it usually take them to announce new stuff after they have changed the website theme? Does anybody know? Oh my god, we're getting closer, these are tiny steps but it is totally positive. :runaround:

An announcement Paddys Day? Paddys Day is a very green day.

So much for keeping my expectations in check

Looking at the Internet Wayback Machine...

GreenDay.com was updated with an Uno theme from the AAF pink/bunny scheme in mid-June 2012.

The site got an American Idiot-themed splash page during the second week of August '04.

Doesn't seem the site ever had a Warning layout; it went from a nimrod sort of thing right to an International Superhits theme between the end of 2001 and January '02.

The earliest version I could load in the months leading up to 21CB was around Valentine's Day 2009, so at least 3 months prior to its release.

So there's some history, but nothing to my eye is TOO telling here.

I can't load it in WBM, but the one between AI and 21CB was kind of interesting. Black and grey colors scheme with planes all over the place.

I may have had a hoodie with that print, if it's what I'm thinking of

It was either planes or birds... I can't remember which. Now that I think longer about it, I'm thinking birds.

At this point I'm more excited for new music than I am for a tour. Please god let it be political.

I just realized I still haven't watched that documentary... after years and years of wanting it to be released. Oops.

I think it was planes. I remember it played the opening guitar part to 21st Century Breakdown too and I think it switched at some point to the drum intro to Know Your Enemy. I was constantly refreshing that page back in the days!

It played "sing us the song of the century...", a noise and the two chords that 21stCB begins with over and over. I'm not sure if the design had planes or missiles Holiday style, but birds? I don't remember that at all haha.
