Am I the only one who would just stick my earphones in and jam out to the new album until TBS leave the stage?

Depends how good or bad the new album would be :P

The Baseballs (Vienna 2013) were the worst opening act for Green Day ever, trust me.

Didn't hear them. Does that mean listening to TBS won't make me a martyr?

All who listen through the TBS act will get a copy of Cigarettes & Valentines

Dunno what's with all the hate for taking back Sunday but their last album was incredible. Green Day likes them enough to have had them open the Milton Keynes shows. They got pretty close there, Ive talked to them about it.

To tell the truth, I can't recognize them from approx. 5069562629697 other pop punk bands that all sound the same so I'm not hating them specifically. :P

I remember I was surprised when I heard their newest single, Tidal Wave, because it had a much different vibe than their usual stuff. It actually reminded me of the trilogy in how much it tried to be like stripped-down rock n roll.

Hell no, you can't listen to the band the day of a show :P

This. Same with the huge new wave of metalcore bands.

If you haven't listened to TBS in a while, take a listen to their last album Happiness Is... They're just a great rock n' roll band these days.

They haven't been a pop punk band since 2004. They're basically indie rock with lots of big driving parts now.

I think this weekend when I go on a four day trip - during which I will have no connection to the outside world, I am likely going to be having a minor meltdown due to the fact I have no idea whether the rest of the world is hearing new Green Day music without me:runaround:

That is to say, if they don't announce something by then:D

I'm literally dying for some news :D But I can be patient I guess. The bigger the anticipation, the greater the happiness when it's there, right? :P

Please stop. You say this each and every week. Yes, one of these weeks you will be right.

I just feel it coming in the same way he can feel an announcement coming.

I'm a fan of Joe Van Winkle's posts in this thread, good to see some genuine enthusiasm. His announcement predictions are also a fun little gag every week, and like people have said, eventually he will be right. Idk I'm enjoying a lot of the talk in this thread but I guess I don't take it as seriously as some, which is fine.

A new Green Day song, or at least a snippet this week would be 'out of sight'! ?

The enthusiasm is great, but I'm not sure the predictions are meant as a gag...

That's what I'm afraid will happen to me. I'm going camping on Tues. for a week with no wifi in the woods (duh) and I may (or may not) come back to lots of posts and news to catch up with.

Why the quotes around 'out of sight'? Do you know something?
