I used to feel sorry for fans who were fans during AI that they had to wait 4 years to get a new album. And now I'm just realising it's been that time since the "new albums". Maybe I'm getting old :P

@Matt., when all of this is unsealed, would you mind posting what they told you? Just to know the feeling you got :P

Agreed. More likely any of these songs, "Redundant", "Reject", "Rest", "Restless Heart Syndrome", "Road to Acceptance", "Rotting", "Rusty James"

I doubt it'd be any of those other than "Redundant", as much as I love all the tracks listed (especially "Restless Heart Syndrome"). Of the tracks that we can see, all seem to have been fairly big hits for GD in the past. "Redundant" was released as a single, but I don't believe that any of the others were. Most of those won't be known to casual GD fans, and it would just seem out of place to have a more obscure song on a setlist packed full of hits. That's just my take on it, anyway. It could also be a new track, as others have previously stated, but if the album genuinely features a track titled "Revolution Radio", I don't know that I'd be a big fan of that.

That setlist in that IG photo is seriously screwing with my head though, cuz I can't find a setlist with that song order

Yes, let's talk about this. Anyway, me too. It's obviously a set list for a new show, which is very exciting.

What I'm thinking is, it could be them trying to put songs in order for future gigs, as in what songs would work well live and how to combine them. But, if there's no new songs there it has to mean a show soon. Why would they plan starting with all of those songs for a new album tour? I think it could only mean the paper was left there and it means nothing (improbable), it's an old setlist (but some detectives here are ruling that out) or it's a setlist for a show coming soon.

I don't see how any of you are pulling the letter 'R' from that setlist. Or any other letter, for that matter.

I'm not. I've looked at that picture only once or twice, and I can't be bothered to find it again. I'm going off of other users' speculation and observations.

Don't underestimate them. These guys are so deep into this they can even pull a letter out of Billie's ass.

It looks like the top of a question mark to me. "???? - audible" is what it could be.

Why is Matt not sharing his so called "News" with us?

When did I say there was news I could share?

I find it a little disrespectful that some find the info I shared to either be A) Not true/I'm lying, or B) That I'm holding something back (which I have to) and being an ass hole for doing so. If you're one of these people: You're lucky I shared anything at all.

This thread is a fucking mess. I regret saying anything at all. My intent was to give everyone a sense of relief that things are happening and that we should all relax. Instead, it's been the opposite.

I knew this would happen when I saw what people were saying.. Some people feel excessively entitled, and instead of appreciating the info you brought they're being more impatient. Ughh.

I feel like Welcome to Paradise and American Idiot would sound weird back to back, and it's weird that they'd play Welcome to Paradise and then switch guitars after one song. weird set list for sure.

Could American Idiot not just be played on Blue? It's still Eb and the only difference would be the tone. If anything, I'd be interested to see how that would sound.

Matt, you are absolutely 100% right with that statement. But what did you expect? These kids have been like that throughout this entire thread. It's not an excuse whatsoever and it annoys me too at times. But I think we should disregard the disrespectful reactions and mainly focus on the respectful ones, which I haven't counted but I can see there are quite a bunch of those. It's posters like you who keep this forum fresh and fun so don't let yourself get uptight by a bunch of impatient monkeys. High five man.

Oh this is a good observation. I didn't even think about that. They've played Nice Guys Fiinish Last down and Hitchin' A Ride with the low tuning before though

I thought American Idiot was standard tuning

You can also play it in Eb.

Me too, but I played it with a friend who used Eb tuning and it sounded a better

Not really, to be honest, unless you use a capo on 1. You need to be able to play that note of all open strings after the Ab. It won't be the right notes if you're half a step down.

Technically, you can play any song in any key.

But does it sound right  in Eb?  Especially on guitar, some keys will just sound wrong, because you are dealing with frets/open strings

Unless you mean drop tuning the whole instrument down, like Blue.

What if "Matt" is actually Billie Joe, Mike, or Tré posting vague hints in this thread?

Now I've read it all...

If you don't like the reactions your vague hints about shit are producing, stop giving hints????? I dunno, just a thought.
