A lot of bad bands have had a number 1 album...

For one week.  It is in week 2 you start to tell how successful an album is

Now I'm afraid to! The consensus here is that he sucks!

He doesn't suck at all, he's a good singer who has been the lead singer of several bands and his voice fits very well with Billie's:

I'd enjoy hearing a small amount of any of the others singing with or without Billie on the next album, all have good and/or interesting voices that it's nice to hear from time to time.

I can almost guarantee that there's no way a song from a movie ends up on the album.

Maybe you've 'Forgotten' about Green Day's track record with that...

But I actually agree.  I don't think the album will have any of those songs on it.  If they're gonna be released at all, they'll be single b-sides or something.  I'd like to hear full studio versions of them, but I don't want them over potentially better new actual green day music, written for the album rather than a random film.

They've never released a song for a movie and then put it on album. It's always been the other way around.

I'd like to see Devil's Kind on the new album. That has a nice vibe to it, and I'd like to see that kind of vibe on the album. Ordinary World seems like a boring ballad. Can't compare to Good Riddance, 21 Guns, Macy's Day Parade or Amy

Does anyone here think that Green Day might be able to pull off something symphonic? Like Metallica's S&M but as an original album.

Ah I hadn't noticed that.  That's a much cleverer way of doing it, it ensures that people think you influenced the film rather than being influenced by it.

If I remember correctly, the producers of Twilight called them and asked them for a song.  They sent them a few and the producers chose The Forgotten.  I could be wrong but I thought that was the story.

Could they do it?  Probably.

Would I want them to do it?  No.

Devils kind shouldn't be on the new album as it was written specifically for the film. But I would like to hear a song with that kind of vibe on the new album.

Devils Kind is a decent song at best.  I dont' think it is nearly good enough to be on a GD album

I feel as if this "they should release Geezer songs" conversation is rehashed every six pages or so.

Forgotten wasn't written for Twilight tho

it was used in the same sense as 99 Tev was for Campaign and Nightlife Oh Love SWTRLF and Amy for CSI

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't dare to say anything as this conversation was already going on for too long

I still think the two Geezer songs were pretty mediocre (I'm a huge fan and I haven't cared to listen to them since they premiered).

She also posted this alongside the other pic of Abbey Road.
Love how people have contributed something to the wall

It just sounds better having two voices harmonizing rather than one. I like the contrast between Mike's and Billie's voices. It could just be as simple as certain notes being too far out of Mike's range. They have a lot of layered vocals nowadays; there are parts I never picked up on before the RB multi tracks got out.

Mike's range is actually very wide.

Off topic: Sum 41's new song is not a single as posted by themselves when they released the video. Also, shame on those of you who don't like Biffy fucking Clyro. Like, are you deaf or what? Just kidding  But you should see a specialist as soon as possible anyways.

Mike sounds good on the albums but not live. Jason sounds better live. Tre probably does too

But didn't their hairdresser or stylist mention a video production designer in one of the IG posts that got deleted? It could have been both. Also the hairdresser wrote to the stylist "And that's scene" or "Cut scene" or some kind of video term to her?  it could be both a video AND photoshoot, sometimes they do both at the same time, while they're all dolled up.

I realized yesterday that Green Day did the 21st CB photo shoot at jingle town. So that gives me more reason to believe that they were doing a photo shoot and not a video.

I know this was mentioned a few pages back, so I'm a little late, but I was reading the most recent issue of Rolling Stone today. I have a subscription and the latest issue came sometime last week and I noticed that it's a double issue. They come out every 2 weeks I think, the issue before this one said July 1st, and this one says July 14-28, so the next issue will be dated August 11th, but will most likely be out before then. So if this photoshoot was for a Rolling Stone article then it won't be printed until early August, but they may post it online earlier than that
