This Billie guy seriously acts like he knows everything about Green Day.

Next he'll be saying he writes all the lyrics and plays a Fernandes Stratocaster called Blue on a stage with a big crowd in front if him.

Son you need to learn some Sum 41

I never cared for them.  I thought they were a 3rd rate Green Day knock off back in the early 2000s when they got big and didn't they then become sort of heavy metal?  Yeah, not my kind of music, but to each their own.

Billie Joe has talked about a more raw sound.  Perhaps a Pinhead Gunpowder sound is in order this time around.  Get some Jason vocals in the mix, some really fast raw punk sounds and some unique lyrics.   Perfect!

I hope there's more solo vocals by Mike and Tré as we'll!

Remember when Sum 41 blatantly ripped off American Idiot? Hilarious.

You mean with Underclass Hero?

Except Underclass Hero was actually good.

Sorry Hermione, he started it :P

Really though it would be silly for warnings to have to be given out or the thread closed over off topic and non-worthwhile posts. Just consider whether what you have to say is on topic and worth saying before you click post and the thread can stay open and not be a chore to read through.

We have to at least be just days away from an announcement. I checked the website and, aside from Billie Joe's recent Twitter updates column, the website has been virtually inactive for the entire month of June!!!

We're like that kid who waits for his neglectful father to come pick him up from his divorced mothers house.. I know he's coming he must be close! ---never shows up-- next day HES COMING I KNOW HE IS! I think we just need to be patient and just be really thrilled when it comes out from nowhere.

Funny analogy :D

I agree, but sometimes it's just so difficult to be patient!! I don't understand why they decided not to let us know anything since I don't think they still have a lot to do to complete the album. Maybe they're doing this just to keep us excited....

I've noticed most bands just sit with the music awhile before releasing even after seemingly completing and mastering it. May want to change track order or something like that, or add/ take out a track. Want to make sure everything's how they really want it

Exactly! Just like what we saw them do in Quatro, they had the songs arranged on a board and  they kept changing it around. Drama Queen was originally supposed to be on ¡DOS! and Stray Heart was originally supposed to be on ¡TRÉ!

Yeah hopefully they won't need as much time on this album. It's shorter and not a trilogy obviously (as fast as we know), so hopefully it won't be too much longer. I think albums can even change  after a single or multiple singles are released. That's why on iTunes it says material is subject to change between pre-order time and release.

Yeah I'm guessing it'll be anywhere between 12 and 18 songs. I'm sure we'll also get some iTunes exclusive B-sides as well.

I'm not sure how others feel about this, but for me the "perfect" album length is usually 12-14 songs
