Green Day in the studio 2016

It's definitely a joke on the UK. He's able to spill the beans carelessly, like when he played most of Dos on the radio and then got some talking to from Warner because of it. But this wasn't enough of a hint that it had to be removed so that we don't figure out too much.(We have screenshots anyway.) It was a random meme.

Didn't know he got in trouble for doing that. Did he say so in an interview or something? I never heard of it.

But yeah you're right, it would be possible for him to say too much about the album but that was so vague I can't see it having to be removed.

I can't remember which interview it was but I'm sure he was talking about it in an interview soon after that. He seemed kind of bitter about it. He said they had told him off for it and told him what he could and couldn't do with his album but it was his music so as far as he's concerned, they could fuck off.

Does anyone know what interview I'm talking about?

I don't think this post had anything to do with the album.

Haha! Makes the memory of listening to him playing them even more enjoyable.

It has to do with past evidence that tells us how likely it is that Billie's deleted Instagram post related to the new album . But good point :P

I'm pretty sure, though I could be wrong, that the Instagram post was related to whats going on here in the UK. Adrienne also retweeted "Have we tried unplugging 2016 waiting ten seconds and plugging it back in?" which I assume is to do with the UK/EU.

New record related? Is the awaited announcement coming? Is he playing with us?

edit: Billie posted a picture "Ok, now you can panic" with the legend #panic. Seems like he quickly deleted it. Wtf?

This is pretty clear that it ahs to do with the EU Referndum.  I'm not sure why he would take it down so quickly.

I posted this and then read the rest of the thread.  I agree with @Alan86

Billie may have taken it down from his Instagram, but the GD Facebook page has not.

Obligatory post: It'll be out in <insert month> with a lead single and announcement on <insert random date>.

We have no idea so let's stop pretending we do. And please let's stop analyzing their previous releases to try and forecast something. Yes, I'm guilty of this like everyone here but it's getting annoying. Page after page of "I think this, I think that. What could licorice mean???" I know this is a place for discussion, but this is beyond discussion and moving towards insanity.

Please elaborate.

I really don't want to...I trust the person who let this info slip and I know the people on here mostly would too. It was unspecific info though and he really didn't mean to say anything so it wouldn't be fair to screw him over by quoting him. I'll just say I'm hopeful that August may bring good things

My post was just an opinion (and a quick, reactionary post), so please do whatever you'd like to do :)

It's so obvious Billie posted that about the UK/EU situation. The image he used is all over the interwebs. He probably thought better of posting it because every time he posts anything political things turn nasty on IG and in this case he posted about a situation in the UK that affects people in the UK and some neighbouring countries and the comments most likely would have been a bunch of people telling him to mind his own business or worse, a load of racist comments about refugees etc. I normally hate when he backs down on IG but this might have been for the better because nobody needs to give assholes a platform to bash people.

As for Adrienne. Her tweet is so random it could be about anything. Certainly it would be a bit lame if she were referring to the UK/EU situation for a number of reasons not least because for the majority of the UK voters they actually got what they wanted. It was a referendum after all and the majority want out. Mostly though given that she is a US citizen, not an EU or UK citizen it would be more than a bit dramatic.

We can all agree however Billie's post had NOTHING to do with the new album

I'm sorry but what is the UK/EU situation that's going on?

They voted for leaving the EU in a referendum.

I think these are Green Day's intentions. The band probably agreed to keep pretty much everything about the album a secret while they sit back and watch the fans speculate!!! Who knows, they could be in our forum posting anonymously and we don't even know it!!!

I'm almost 100% sure that is not happening

It is entirely feasible for someone in their management to at least be reading what is being said here.

Which could be one reason why so called "leaked insider information" regarding the album gets removed from here, right?

Or rather, a bunch of people who won't see the full effect voted us out. Had it been left to people below the age of 50, it would have been a completely different outcome. Just the Little England Brigade and it's obvious that anyone who has a brain and voted remain can see that, not to start an argument.

There's a whole thread for that conversation. Reminder (again), to keep this thread to conversation about Green Day in the studio / new album.

Only problem I see is that there's very little to talk about the new album because everything has been said about 100 times. This is slowly just becoming another Insta and random thoughts thread without choice.

So um, getting back to the new album. Im hoping they dont put too many songs on it like i think it should be around 12-15 songs. If they had like 18 or 19 songs thatd feel too much like the trilogy over again.

21stCB had 18 songs. Some people say that they were too many, that the album was too long, but as long as the quality is good what's the problem with more songs? :P
