I totally thought that we'd have some sort of announcement by now. Does anyone think that there's any sort of significance attached to Billie's IG post about licorice? Maybe the title of the album will be something concerning licorice....

They ripped off this song and they're rude enough to hint at it.

Still at a loss as to how anyone thinks they know how far along they are or when it'll be out or when an announcement is due . There's been endless speculation but really we don't know anything, they've told us virtually nothing and there's no set length of time it takes to make an album.

Maybe then Billie would take on you, like he did at iheart 2012. :P Fu*king 1980-Fuc*ing 8

Just Saying :)

I've been "around" since F-ing 2000-F-ing 8 (as a musician).    Also, I'm 13 years younger and at least 80 pounds bigger.   He was all bark and no bit at Iheart, I think we all know who would win between Billie and THATDUDE:

Billie!    I could never beat him up, he's the lead singer of my favorite band ever.  Him beating me up would be pretty traumatizing as well.    Lol.

Sorry, my mind is still reeling from that Panic / Weezer show in Charlotte.  Panic went on first but played twice as long as Weezer, had a bigger, crazier show and.....it was just not right.  Dear Weezer, don't let you opening band make you look like punks.  Wait.

Dear Green Day Album 12, please be better in relative terms than the latest from all my other favorite bands.  Don't make a Getaway From Good Music, a White Album that can't live up to the name, or a Hunting Party that couldn't find a melody if it mauled it's genitals.    Please Green Day 12, give me some Rock N Roll.

Pretty sure they're actually co-headliners.

I somewhat disagree. If you put together all the stuff that has been mentioned...I think we have a pretty clear indication of what their plans are at least. You have the information that I brought forth about what stage of the process they were in and how much was done...it was asked to be removed. You have the Freese interview where he mentioned touring starting in September. You have Billie talking to that fan about a fall release. You have the guitar dude posting that Billie needed his guitar(s) by the end of this month (which would fit with the practice time frame of a September tour). Plus you have those people affiliated with venues (or something like that) who said fall tour months ago. So I really think that all the clues and hints are there. Nobody KNOWS for sure, but there sure are a fuck ton of clues that all add up to the same thing.

The problem is that a band can tour without releasing a new album. 99 revolutions tour should still be a thing.

Everything indicates to me that they're done recording. BJ said that comment about 21st being darker if Obama hadn't won in regard to See the Light if I remember correctly, but 21st was released in May, they were in the middle of writing and recording when the results came so it's normal that songs changed because of political results. Not now though.

Right, but a lot of the info was about their recording process as well. Billie saying they were hoping for a fall release goes hand in hand with the information I brought forth a few months ago about how far along they were. Things just seem to fall in a line

What was this? I can't remember. There was also a rumour of an Australian January tour, although that was months ago.

Yeah...that was it. And that would fall in line if they did a Sept/Oct start to their tour.

When they tour, do they start in the US or Europe? Or does it change?

Usually US first. I believe it's been something like US > Europe > US > South America.

That is South America minus Brazil.

Sorry Brazil!

They tour the US first usually, but it depends if you count secret shows and the few pre-album shows announced or not, appearances in TV shows etc. I'd say that has varied depending on what album.

Dear Green Day (even though they won't read this)

Please make the announcement about the new album NOW as we are on page 170 and my prediction was that we'd be on this page. Also I'm bored of waiting for the album.

Rage and Love

Oh well. My prediction was wrong.

The second prediction that I made was that the new album will be 63 minutes long with 14 tracks. At least I'm still in with a shout of that prediction being correct. :)

I don't want to make accurate predictions, but i think they'll announce something in the middle/ at the end of July. The only thing i'm sure about is that the new album will be very different from the trilogy. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but i think they realized it didn't get as much success as they (and also us fans) expected.

Remember, whenever the album announcement is, each day that passes is another day closer to it.

This makes the most sense. US in the fall, Australia in January, Europe in the summer, then back to the US.

I actually think, if it hadn't been for the iHeart incident and Billie's subsequent rehab stint, the trilogy might have been wildly popular! If you look back at that July when Oh Love came out, it was all over the radio! And I believe on the Friday before iHeart, they played a couple ¡UNO! songs live on GMA! And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they played Let Yourself Go where all the fans got up on stage at the 2012 MTV VMA's, or was it the 2013 VMA's? Then iHeart happened, rehab, and then all promotions were put on hold.  That being said, if all goes according to plan, this new album and whatever singles they put out might very well be number 1 smash hits!!!

So, the new album... (Not previous ones)

Is hopefully going to be a bit rougher, harder, edgier! I'm wondering how much seriousness there is behind Billie's "destroy pop-punk" thing. what do you think? Might they do something that is a lot more different? Or not? :)

I think they'll come to Europe before that. At least for a couple of shows before the album's release like they did in May 2009 or August 2012, if not for a whole tour before going to Asia/Australia/South America. In 2013 they didn't tour US and Europe twice because of health issues or whatever (to "charge their batteries"), but in previous tours they have done so. Even though I think this time around tours won't be as extensive as in 2005 or 2009, I believe they'll do US and Europe twice, with less shows each time, just as it was starting to be in 2013 before the hiatus.

Hopefully they will make 2 legs of the tour again. My chance to see them would increase that way  (they usually skip us on smaller tours). They could do the "Germany/England" mini tour before the regular one as well but if they're in the US in fall, these shows would have been already announced for the summer so I doubt they'll play here this year.

I also think it's unlikely for them to tour Australia before Europe.
