Depends on who does it and how they work, what style they are aiming for etc. Often bands in my area reported that professional mastering takes about half a day per song, on average. Totally depends though!

It is for the blasphemy that you would think he would change the blonde. He has toured with blonde hair before he will again.

Judging from the photos on his website, I don't think they're there: http://chrislordalge.com/photos/cla-and-studio/#/4 (In above photos, notice there is carpet and no window into a recording space) As someone else pointed out, it's definitely not Jingletown. Doesn't look like Ocean Way Recording either. Don't know if it's his but it's the studio that's credited in the 21st and the trilogy credits
Dakke
If we are really entering the stage of mastering then an official announcement can't be far off. I'd say we'll get at least a title (and maybe a track list like with Uno) before the end of July, though I feel like something is coming in late-June or early-July. Now, this is purely based on deduction, but I see them releasing the album name around June 26th and a single shortly after or in late-July at the latest. Joe.
I guess an announcement will come with a single and tour dates, take the new RHCP album, they posted from the studio but had no official info until the title of the album, single and tour dates were announced at the same time
Chin for a Day
I wouldn't be surprised if there was no announcement and we just got the whole album, or at least a single as a surprise one day, soon.
sara_gd
Summing up all of these comments: they could be at any stage from starting to mix to have the album already finished (mixed and mastered). Right now they're in LA, for mixing or mastering, but not at CLA judging by the pics of that studio (or maybe it's been remodeled). So they could be at another studio in LA? It doesn't make much sense that they went for dinner to LA if that afternoon they were mixing in another city. Unless that Twitter guy was speaking about some other time or wasn't telling the truth. I still think there's going to be an announcement, but it will be accompagnied by a single. They need a little bit of hype (not too much) before the release after being absent of the mainstream scene for three years and the less than stellar commercial success of the Trilogy. Which makes me start to believe that this is a self-produced album.

But a single is an announcement. I don't think there is going to be a big deal made out of this. One day there is going to be a single, and then the tour dates will follow. I don't think there is going to be a big announcement giving dates to expect a single, etc. They have kept this very quiet for a long time, they are not going to change strategies at the end. WhiteTim
It hasn't been mastered Ted Jenson has mastered GD since Warning and he works out of his studio Sterling Sounds in New York
localinsomniac
I keep forgetting that nobody in the Green Day camp ever mentioned working with a producer. Agree with @Sixtrix- they might be going Warning-style on this one. edit: changed must to might

Why would they announce the producer of an album they haven't announced? 1 minute ago, WhiteTim said: It hasn't been mastered Ted Jenson has mastered since Warning and he works out of his studio Sterling Sounds in New York Just because they used him in the past does not mean they will not change. Well of course things could change but since we are assuming CLA is still mixing then we are fine to assume Jensen is still mastering right?
