Green Day in the studio 2016

If Park amps are from the 60s it is likely that there aren't many left, so Billie probably wants to be careful and avoids taking them on tour.

Knowing these amps are responsible for the guitar tone in AI and 21stCB, I'm really excited about the band using them again. While the main problem with the trilogy was the songwriting, its guitar tone was also atrocious.

And also, I highly doubt that Tré supports Trump since he is an immigrant after all.

Same, I'm getting pretty excited!! My city is getting a brand new amphitheatre this summer too, so you know. If they wanted to tour the States next summer we finally have an acceptable venue here for them to play in :whistle

There's only one more thing I can add:

COME TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC PLS PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, if Tre (or his wife??) support Trump it doesn't matter to me at least :P I loved this band back when I was an extremely hard-core right winger, the political leanings of the members really don't have to affect anyone's feelings about the band's music.

Park Amps are still made today.  They are just know to have a very classic British rock band sound.

First line, thus why Ted Cruz can run for president

Second line, true, but someone had said if Park Amps are from the 60's Billie wouldn't want to take them on tour.  Park Amps are still  manufactured today, so I can't tell if that amp in the picture is an old one from the 60's or a newly manufactured one.   He could be using a new one.

well Ted may not be they found Ted's mothers name on a registered voter card in Canada the same year or close to as Ted was born  at a time where Canada and US didn't honor dual citizenship and to be a registered voter in Canada you had to be a citizen so they gotta see if she renounced her US citizenship or if she pulled voter fraud

He isn't an immigrant, if you're born to American parents on an American military base abroad it doesn't make you a citizen of that country, he was born an American citizen.

I have no idea why Sara's family's political views are being discussed here. I don't believe we know anything about her political views and Tre has only ever expressed very liberal political views, how what his in laws post on facebook is relevant to that I don't know. Pretty sure Billie's father in law is a pastor and that never stopped him going after religion, just because some members of a family believe something it doesn't mean all their relatives do.

Well then... it looks like I had a lot of catching up to do in here. :P

Could be a fake or something from the guys, made for sidetrack us.

EDIT: The timing is also strange: this guy uploaded the picture 2 minutes after the the last BJ's picture. So it could hardly be a fake... the #revrad thing was too fresh to be faked.

That random recording studio guy is a bit odd, seem like he only follows random people and all four of his photos are stock images. Plus their studio guys aren't the type to post stuff like that anyway

"thetargetofanarmageddon" deleted his account. The guys are really enjoying themselves with this shit. Let the hype grow and delete everything some hours later so that the news won't spread too much. August 2016. New album release date folks!

Wow. They have just made a fake account which announced a new album, spelled backwards and made their fans create theories about radians per second. This is what I love about this band.

Come on guys, do you REALLY think the band would make a fake account on Instagram to troll us/release information? Seems just a tad bit farfetched to me.

When the $1.5 billion Powerball lottery numbers were announced earlier this month, people had already photoshopped pictures of their "winning tickets" within minutes and pretended they were winners on Twitter and Instagram. People catfish and create fake celebrity social media accounts all the time. Remember when the trilogy was being recorded and that guy implied he was Billie Joe on Twitter (https://twitter.com/JosephKingston1) for months and a bunch of people on GDC fell for it and followed him? Then he trolled everyone by saying ridiculous stuff about suicidal thoughts/alcohol addiction, etc. just to get a rise out of people.

I guess what I'm saying is I really don't think it's that farfetched for someone to be mooching off the Green Day members' posts for social media attention, even if something was posted within minutes of Billie Joe's original post. And I wouldn't be surprised if it continued throughout the year. People do weird shit online all the time, and you should definitely be wary of it. I'm all for new album hype, but definitively claiming that it was the band on that "thetargetofanarmageddon" Instagram account without any proof is just way too much for me to believe.

It said in the interview that he was using one from the 60's that had been completely modified. and just because the amps are being made today that doesn't mean they're the same quality, or even the same model as the old ones. I understand not wanting to take vintage amps on a big tour, but someone like billie has the techs around and also money to buy backup amps if something goes wrong with one of them.

They've created pirate radio stations, posted cryptic number sequences, made a website with a mysterious clock on it and gone to great lengths with secret side projects and god knows what else to troll fans before so I wouldn't put much past them. But I do think Alissa's logic makes more sense on this occasion :P

I didn't mean it as a slur sorry if I sounded salty :D I don't care if it's true - speculating is fun enough for me. They did such things before so who knows ;)

I never said he was using amps made today, I simply stated that the amps ARE made today.  I never once said they were the same quality either.  Plus, I was referring to the amps that are in the Instagram photo he posted the other day.  I in no way shape or form said anything about the amps he used on tour.  I was simply stating that he had Park Amps in the photo and Park Amps are known for giving a more classic rock sound.

It actually started as a joke about the band crashing the Republican convention in Cleveland and evidently morphed  GDC duh. Anyway I for one saw actual screenshots of comments by Sara before her IG was public (and she evidently deleted a tonne of posts) and she was/is a Mitt Romney supporter so my point was about her not her family. I was joking that Tré would hardly protest the Republican convention then go home to Sara.
