The Republican National convention is in Ckeveland.  Maybe they will crash the party to premier their anti-trump song

Fairly positive I recall a major shitstorm a while back on facebook or Twitter or tumblr or some place with people reposting stuff about Tré's wife and family being mad Republican supporters so I doubt he will be crashing anything :lol: Attending maybe :lol:

What that Sara's family are republican's or are Trump supporters?  I can handle republicans, but not Trump supporters

That took me a while to understand, I thought you were saying that that people were mad Republican supporters and I didn't see the logic

What's HELLO CLEVELAND supposed to mean!!???

They are definitely Republicans but not sure what candidate they support. They have a lot of strong conservative views...That's all I'll say  I just don't see Tré of all people insulting Republicans ever again.

Haha...no a lot of fans didn't like what they were seeing from Sara and her family regarding guns and comments about gay marriage etc.

As for "hello Cleveland" it may be Tré alluding to the Hall of Fame or just trying to throw us all off. He can be really random

so i know most of you are obsessing over revrad and otis, but i'm more focused on those guitar amps! In another thread i commented that i don't think they are gunna go for a big guitar sound this time around, but i'm definitely rethinking that now.

the trilogy was recorded with custom made amps that were going for a vintage marshall and Vox sound, which is why the guitars on that album were more clean sounding... that's in the bottom left page right here: http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/172/11/

it looks like those Park amps, or at least one of them were used for both American Idiot and 21CBD.

on AI Billie used a modified Park amp along with a modified Marshall Plexi (most likely Pete, but that's just my guess). In an article from Guitar World in 2004 they said that Parks were just Marshalls from the 60s made under a different name (middle of the page, 2nd paragraph http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/32/5/)

Then another article says that a highly modified Park amp was part of the 21st Century sound, along with a Hiwatt amp and an old Fender http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/122/10/

This has me pretty excited, although I wonder why he doesn't use the Park amp live. I also hope Mike has the same bass sound from the trilogy, his bass sound was perfect on that

I hear Tre is doing drums for the studio version of Trump's campaign song with the little girls Sara will be doing background vocals

I think we're definitely going to have a harder sounding album this time around. I wish Billie would post more pictures of the guitars he is using. I've seen a lot of Telecasters in different pictures he has posted after the trilogy. In the most recent picture there's a strat hanging on the wall behind tre's drums.

How did Green Day use to call that pirate radio they had while recording 21st CB ? By that time they said they were playing their demos among other songs in their own radio somewhere in the US.

I'm thinking if revrad actually means revolution radio, or something like that. Maybe there is a radio playing right now their new demos ?? :)

And it will be turned to a country song and will be aired on Rev RADio. Makes sense.

Could be that the amps just can't handle the kind of hard touring that the band's used to. For example: there's a company called Mojotone that did a custom amp for Green Day based on the Silvertone 1484 amp, and they say that while the tones on the original 1484 amp are great, the build quality isn't reliable for taking it on the road, so they were hired by Bill, GD's guitar tech, around the time of the Trilogy to make "a road-worthy 1484 style amp in a Marshall JTM-45 chassis." Maybe the same principle applies to the Parks. Maybe they're perfect for the studio but not exactly road-worthy.

a lot of artists uses equipment in the studio that they don't take on the road for whatever reason may be

All this technical talk makes me wish I'd learned something... anything... about music production back when I had time to be super obsessed with this type of thing.

This thread is a trip though, the hype is REAL.

Me too. I only want Green Day to tour again because there's a very little chance that I'd see FT even if they released  an album.

Same, I'm getting pretty excited!! My city is getting a brand new amphitheatre this summer too, so you know. If they wanted to tour the States next summer we finally have an acceptable venue here for them to play in :whistle
