On another note, I don't get why people want it on the new GD album, that means one less new song if they include Devils Kind.  And I will say it, it is a really good song, it is not spectacular.

We are getting desperate for something.

I don't know if by posting this photo you implied that the instrument we could see in the previous photo was this accordion (a bit we can't see here) instead of a keyboard, but accordions have either buttons or keys, so it can't be the same instrument (as this one has buttons).

Accordions have both buttons and keys. Concertina, buttons only and much smaller. :)

The keys are on the other side, hidden in the picture, played by left hand.

Hey guys! Just hopping in to say that I've just heard Devil's Kind and I think it's pretty damn good! I hope it gets released in the next album! I'm kinda late to the party, but are there any other new songs we can hear? I've been long absent

Edit: Just heard Ordinary World as well!! I love it!

Hey Danny! I'm afraid that's it, nothing else to hear. Glad you came back to two good songs though, I like them a lot too.

That's definitely a keyboard. It's leant against a stool of some sort. And above the keys you can see the buttons for different beats and background instruments it will play. Grown up around both concertina and accordian. Seen enough in my time to know the difference like the back of my hand.

It's definitely a keyboard.

*I mean the picture before that tre posted with it in the background..

I don't know how I feel about the accordion thing. I really don't like accordions, but it's Green Day, and I'm pretty sure that they'll find a good way to use them.

I'm seeing they do have some buttons, I didn't know that. But those buttons are different than these, those are a lot of buttons together on top of the instrument and these are a pad that displays in the lower part of it, just like keys do in keyboard accordions. Also Tre had to be left handed (which we know he isn't) or be playing it in a weird way to have the keyboard in the other side of the photo. What's on the other side is more buttons, in the upper part.

A few images to clarify:

The accordion Tre is using (button accordion):

And by the way it's called Diatonic Accordion.

The fact that I'd still buy and listen to it shows how desperate I am for new GD music

You're not alone :P

I'm pretty excited though, because Devil's Kind and Ordinary World are easily better than anything we've got in the trilogy imo.

Plot twist

Maybe they're starting a mariachi band to replace FBHT for their secret shows :P

On the bright side, maybe I can convince my brother to like Green Day now.  He's not a big fan, but he does play the accordion so...

Idk if im the minority here but i really dont wanna have any accordion in the new album. Im fine with one song having some trumpet but having an accordion would just feel corny

I think I'd be fine with them exploring just about any instrumentation, as long as it's done well.

Yeah you never know with them. If any band could make accordion cool, it would be GD. But it's a stretch.

If we're playing that game, then EVERY song has an organ.
