Why can't Billie do a set of cover songs that people actually like? Cover like the Clash or Boston or something :P

People like Boston?

You had a good sleep

Not the city

No, not the city. I believe he was referring to the Band. I love the city.

So, who is going to write us a mind blowing detailed summary of the show?

Billie had a haircut - he looked hot - he whistled & told his friends to shut up. The songs were nice - there was no announcement & no new songs - that's about it.

Sounds good enough.

Oh, you mean like the relationship with Adie... more on or off? Do we need to speculate, discuss and kill some time over it?

Why are people so surprised/disappointed over the content of this show? As soon as it was announced as "Billie's" acoustic show, and especially as soon as Norah Jones was seen hanging around, people should have realized the likelihood of hearing GD songs was very low.

I'm so thrilled Billie and Norah played these songs live. Foreverly is a beautiful album, their voices sound beautiful together, it's a so much more relaxed, unique type of music for Billie to be involved with, and anyone who had the opportunity to see them make the music happen in person should consider themselves very lucky.

I am so happy that it happened. I hope there are more shows like this!

can't wait to go home and check out the videos!

They should totally record another album together. Norah should contribute on some tracks in Green Day's next album too. These two are like musical soulmates.

This makes me excited about the new songs Billie was supposed to perform in Geezer

Thanks for all the videos, seems like it was a totally beautiful and heartwarming show! Really glad they've played these songs live at last.

Check out Billie Joe acting like an angry dad: https://youtu.be/mfJk8EHq2aU

Haha, that's great

I hoped Nora would just joined for a few songs, or they'd played different songs (not just Foreverly stuff) together. I wasn't surprised, but I don't like that kind of music (even Nora's voice is beautiful) and I don't like Foreverly, so of course I'd rather heard GD songs.

But Billies voice sounded great!

Kay absolutely nailed it. I also don't understand why people were unhappy about this. One of the things I've always loved about Green Day was their willingness and ability to do something different. They don't stick to the same formula over and over again. Billie doing Foreverly with Norah was just an extension of that. I'm not a huge country music fan, but you don't have to be a fan of something to appreciate something well done. Their voices are beautiful together and this concert was something that has never been done before. It would have been the memory of a lifetime to have been there.

Plus, I love Foreverly because I always looked at it as Billie's "Fuck you I can sing" album.

They definitely need to do more together.

Foreverly is absolute gash, a copy/paste snorefest of the worst kind, but Billie Joe has never really shown the musical chops to pull off a solo acoustic show anyway. He needs either Mike or Jason there to fill out the songs, otherwise it'd just be him strumming a few power chords and having to actually sing songs that he usually shouts most of.

I know so many other bands that do beautiful acoustic arrangements of their songs, many of them heavier than Green Day, and it's always disappointed me that we'll never hear something like that from Green Day because Billie is so limited.

If you like the Network, get the hell away from the Green Day site. Those guys are awful, and have supposedly gone (literally) underground 10 years ago. But with Billie Joe and Norah and FBHTs, you must like.

(i'm being funny. I like any band or musician linked to Green Day in the smallest way - right now I'm listening to a Phil Ochs song because a Green Day side project covered it...........I'M A FAN. haha.
