Apparently we were misinformed and there is in fact a return from 86.

CAN'T YOU READ, BILLIE? THERE'S NO RETURN FROM 86.:lol: I'm glad they are back in their 'native habitat'.

Very. I also feel like we got skipped over on that 99 Revolutions tour as far as hearing Stray Heart or Murder City which are both on my "Need To Hear Live" lists.

Stray Heart would be pretty cool. It's definitely a highlight of the trilogy, even though it's a blatant ripoff of so many songs.

I'm pretty sure the only 21CB song I've ever heard is Know Your Enemy. Oh dear.

over the past ten years i've been going to see them the venues have been progressively smaller and smaller. all signs point to they will be playing in my living room within the next three years

Or your wedding!

Thankfully I saw them twice on that tour. The only songs I haven't heard from that album are Christian's Inferno, Last of the American Girls, Murder City, Restless Heart Syndrome, Horseshoes and Handgrenades and See The Light. They played a snippet of Peacemaker in Detroit.

I'm still confused as to why it says Sweet Children on that beam though? I guess someone just wrote it randomly.

Imagine if they played 86 tonight? That's where they should have the "mic drop"

I would shit myself if they played that! One of my all times favorites.

Green Day secret benefit show appearance at 924 Gilman in the town where they got their start.

They dressed up so spiffy tonight  Earlier Mike posted a photo that looked like he was wearing a Nimrod button.

Never thought of "Are we the waiting?" being played at Gilman St.

I told them I don't like that album so they avoided playing it in Cleveland. I wasn't exactly upset they avoided it.

Yet they basically continue to pretend that album doesn't exist. :(

It's been written up there for years now.

Leave it to Larry to always have the best captions.

Honestly the song didn't do too well in Cleveland. Sometimes I think the stadium songs don't translate well into a small show environment.

i mean that's a given. not much fun getting married if billie joe isn't there to steal me away from my husband.

I mean, he can steal me away from my husband if you're too busy that day, for whatever reason...

That'd be wicked! And also, probably an awkward silence would pass between Green Day and the Gilman staff, like crickets in the background  When was the last time they played 86 live? I remember they played in in the 90's but I can't recall coming across another video of it since then.

I'm standing next to the lead singer of AFI in the crowd at Gilman. And these girls around me are fangirling so hard.

So, that's why they ignored it! I was wondering! Damn you! :)

Can I add in a "What the actual fuck" over them playing Are We The Waiting? It just doesn't work unless it's being played in a stadium. Same for Holiday tbh.

I think we did the "thing" Kay. I just posted that too.

However, I'm OK with them playing Holiday in Cleveland because I FINALLY got to hear "the representative from OHIO" and my world ended.

I actually thought Holiday was awesome at House of Blues. Are We The Waiting didn't really work, but I was glad to hear it.

They last played it back in 2010 in Canada, I guess
