Green Day inducted into the Hall Of Fame

I can't hear the questions but I can hear him.

Someone asked why MIley is inducting Joan and he basically said because they are friends. They asked if Jimmy Vaughn is coming and he said that he is and he is bringing Stevie RAy Vaughns guitar. Now they are talking about Ringo's drum kit being installed in the exhibit

New: they are revamping the walk of fame plaques, not sure what the format will be. They are still keeping the 3 year cycle of the ceremony, Cleveland, LA and NY. They use Public Hall because they can have the sponnsors and donors on the floor and still have 5,000 members of the public. 2009 was the first time they public attended and HBO loves the look of public hall.

That's it.

It's also kind of cool that Public Auditorium was where the Beatles played in Cleveland, and now Ringo gets inducted out of there and Paul reunites with him. I still think it's too small of a venue to meet demand, like Nokia Theatre is/was (I mean, we're fine having it at Barclays Center in NYC?), but it is kind of cool for the historic value and it isn't so big that we won't be able to see.

Each inducted performer gets 3 songs. In the past the headliner has gotten 4 songs. I've asked the rock hall who the headliner will be and they said they don't announce it beforehand. My guess is it would be between Ringo and GD, but I'm betting on GD.

Thanks for answering. I guess Ringo is more important if they also take into account his work as a member of The Beatles, but as a solo artist I don't think he's that important, so I agree that GD should be the headliners.

I don't think Ringo is important at all, but that is another story. :D

Plus, he is getting inducted because Paul asked them too. THey rock hall actually changed the catagory description to fit Ringo.

It should be GD as the headliner, but we won't know until that night.

Yes, but I don´t care. I like BJ, but i don´t like Miley. That´s the difference.

So because you like Billie Joe, those who criticize him are automatically wrong, and because you don't like Miley Cyrus, those who criticize her are automatically right? Have I got that correct?

I never said anything like this. Learn to read.

My God I can't believe it. It's not that bad that it's FOB then I guess.

First thing that came into my mind is when Miley performed "I love rock n roll" at Rock in Río in Madrid. They broadcasted it on TV and when she finished, the guy said "that was I love rock n roll, by Green Day". Hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing in weeks. The fact is that the song is not even Joan's  but she's the one who made it popular so.

He would have to be invited to be able to say no.

I'm not sure you understood what I said. I meant it would be cool if he at least showed up to the event, not being inducted, watching his former bandmates get inducted. I remember Chad Channing did that when Nirvana got inducted.

I understood exactly what you said. Why would he pay the money to watch a band that replaced him

Well, in all reality, we don't KNOW what Al Sobrante is like. He would either want to go, or say "It's just not part of my life anymore" and not go. If I wasn't with a band for 20 years I'd honestly like to see them inducted. He left the band, so they replaced him. Why would he be offended by that? I mean, I highly doubt they'd have some grudge against each other after more than 20 years later.

Chad wasn't there

"Chad I know you're here somewhere. Are you over there, Chad? Hey Chad!"

- Dave Grohl getting inducted 2k14

He was practically talking to him.

Fair enough.

But, now I do wonder if any other of their former members were there.

I dobut it a magazine had interviewed Jason back in 2012/2013 and while he didn't bad mouth them the way he worded some things seemed like he didn't really want to talk about the band

Aaron loved to talk about his Nirvana days but I doubt he had the money to travel and for floor seats as the last time I've seen him interviewed he said he was struggling to pay rent and how the royalty he gets from the box set are hardly enough to do anything with

So I work at Fox Sports and we share a building with one of the Cleveland news stations, WKYC. I sometimes receive emails that are promos sent to the station. I just got one about all of the stuff going on this upcoming week.

One of the items that will be at the Rock Hall is Tre Cool's drum set from the Woodstock performance. Pretty sure they have Billie's outfit on display as well.

Yes, these were offically announced. The official announcement said Billie's shoes are still muddy.

Fueled by the manically prolific imagination of lyricist, guitarist and lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day are the perennial punk adolescents, true to the ethos of every basement and garage-rock band that preceded them. #Klipsch is proud to be part of their introduction into the @RockHall. #KlipschRocksTheHall #rockhall #rrhof

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2015 class: Star power and variety GREEN DAY

BIO The rare band that found a second act to its career that was even bigger than its first. Singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool burst into the mainstream with their landmark punk-pop album "Dookie" in 1994 and a string of now standards, including "When I Come Around" and "Welcome to Paradise." Then, in 2004, enraged by President George W. Bush's administration, the band unleashed "American Idiot," which raised its profile without losing any punk fire, winning them Grammys and mounting a successful Broadway rock opera of the same name.

BIGGEST HIT "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (No. 2, 2004)

WILL BE INDUCTED BY Fall Out Boy
