Beerjeezus
Is it weird that I love Green Day but hate most of the bands they've inspired?no it's not weird, rather pretty common. I don't hate them, because I don't listen to them. usually I have a problem to tell which of these bands is playing - they all sound the same. stories and songs
On a random note, I feel like Billie did his eyeliner a little "off" for HOF. His eyes keep looking different to me. I guess I've somewhat gotten used to him not wearing it lately. This comment contributes nothing and I'm sorry.
Cori
All I say is that Saturday was one crazy amazing day and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see the ceremony and see Green Day at the red carpet because I had a spot on the barricade. Wow. On a random note, I feel like Billie did his eyeliner a little "off" for HOF. His eyes keep looking different to me. I guess I've somewhat gotten used to him not wearing it lately. This comment contributes nothing and I'm sorry.I'm pretty sure a professional did it for the ceremony. He normally does it himself, so that's why it looked different. I noticed it, too, and personally I think it looks better when he does it himself. A makeup artist just makes it look too perfect or something. I can't explain it. AlissaGoesRAWR
Nice to see Patti next to Billie! Especially since he gave her a shout out during his speech as being "part of his record collection sitting in front of him." It's adorable to think about, but I'm sure he was fangirling over her like the rest of us are over him. On a random note, I feel like Billie did his eyeliner a little "off" for HOF. I didn't get to hug him or get an autograph because I was too busy staring in shock, but we did hold hands for a bit. And a professional did do it for the ceremony. They were tweeting about doing makeup for both Billie and Adrienne. I'm not sure who did it for the concert, but it looked amazing there, too. He didn't wear it for the Sweet Children set, I don't think, but it was definitely on there for Green Day. His eyes were beautiful. It's almost like he read all my posts on GDC asking him to wear eyeliner again or something! (Ha, kidding, of course.) Bu seriously... it has been a while. I hope it sticks around, too. Aww, that's great! I'm glad you were on the barricade, too! I was too tongue-tied to even say anything to Mike or Billie, but I did kinda awkwardly grab Billie's arm? Not quite sure why did that! I was wearing my green Green Day jacket with different buttons on it, though, and when Tré went past he pointed at my Tré album button and said "I like that button!" So that was pretty cool! That's awesome! Apparently Tré high-fived me too but I don't remember it at all because I was literally just staring Billie down like an animal hunting its prey. It's really embarrassing to think about now, but it was the most extreme form of tunnel vision. After he grabbed my hand I literally just collapsed over the barrier in shock and started bawling like a crazy person.

I literally had a woman come up to me and ask me what was wrong because I was sobbing and shaking so much. Here's a reaction picture of me hugging my (very confused, but understanding) husband after it happened. It really explains everything... both his reaction and mine. AlissaGoesRAWR
i am finally getting over my bitterness enough to say that 1.) it was the perfect time for you to meet billie because you looked so beautiful!! and 2.) i am so fuckin happy that you met him because i feel like you are the only person who deserves it as much as i do D'aww, thank you! But remember, he LOVES you! So you've got us all beat by default. There's no questioning he knows you exist and intended to say something to you, and he'll probably remember you from that show, too! I actually feel bad even using the word "met" because I literally spoke no words to him that I can recall. I waved, screamed his name and I hope I said "thank you" when he touched me, but I don't think I did. Literally, that's all I want to do someday is just be able to consciously thank him (and the entire band) for all they've done to help make my life better. I have Kay to thank for making me look good that night, though. She showed me how to do my lips and touched up my eyes and God I'm so fucking happy she did... That's an adorable picture! I'm happy that you got to have such a great experience! Thank you! I'm glad you got to share in it as well! That really was a great moment for all the fans who were there. Many people I've talked to about the experience who know little about the band have commented on how classy it was for them to come out and greet the fans who waited there for them all day, when they really didn't have to. Even if fans didn't get to interact with them, the gesture certainly meant a lot.
