Jaz924
That's the same thing that Billie's dad died from. Really hope he gets better, esophageal cancer is one of the worst kinds of cancer you can get. God bless Jason & his family.
SuperXCsabre495
Wishing the best for Jason. I can't image what he is going to go through. It really sucks that two members Green Day family have had cancer within the past year
JardyOfSuburbia
Sounds a little bit similar to my dad's throat cancer a few years ago. He had an annoying sore throat and doctors kept prescribing it as acid reflux and other nonsense. Turns out it was cancer, but thankfully it was treatable because they detected it earlier. I truly believe one of the biggest things that got him through it was the positive support he had. He kicked cancer's ass and is doing well today. Here's to a speedy recovery for Jason and he has 100,000x the amount of support my dad had!
Doris The Spider
I knew of someone who recently died from this cancer but I think he will get through it. Get well soon, Jason.

Nope
Hi, I am Jason's wife and I haven't posted on this board since 2005,literally. But just wanted to clarify that Jason has been diagnosed with tonsil cancer, not esophagus cancer. The Big Cats post was unintentionally misleading. His tonsil cancer is not due to tobacco or alcohol and his prognosis is very good. Thank you so much for y'all's words of support. Jason doesn't come on here, but I will pass along the well wishes. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we begin this journey. It's gonna be hell but he will be fine when it's all said and done. sara_gd
This is so sad But I'm sure he'll be fine. Best wishes to him and his family!!! I'll be thinking about him. (Someone should change the title now we know it's tonsil cancer, btw).
sara_gd
I'm reading that early diagnosed tonsil cancer (that's still only in the tonsil and hasn't developed throughout it) only needs surgery, so I'm asuming that this is what Jason has. If it grows out, it would need surgery followed by radiotherapy, but it doesn't seem to be the case http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/cancers-in-general/cancer-questions/tonsil-cancer
