Yeah there isn't anything wrong with referring to someone who's black as black, there kind of is something wrong with referring to a professional actress who has a name and is doing her job as "that [anything] girl" and making a bitchy comment about her as if she's just a fangirl who's after Billie, though.

I don't see what's wrong with calling her that even if she's the goddamn president, but I agree with the bitchy comment thingy, it's unnecessary.

Sorry because I didn't know her name :( You know ... I don't like Broadway idiot ... I only know that she was part of the cast. I didn't want to start a flamewar. Move on.

He plays himself if Dookie never happened.

Yeah, if Donald Trump becomes president, I'll probably refer to him as "that asshole guy"

Hate to be the one defending @Steven Seagull but there's nothing wrong about referring to someone as "the black girl", she is a black person. Yes, I would rather say her name instead but you shouldn't get offended by him saying "That black girl from AI cast" (That's something that has always bug me from American PC culture, ugh).

Btw, damn she looks hot on that trailer.

It'd taken him less than two seconds to look her name up to say that black girl and then add an insult to her he knew what he was doing

The reason for almost all of the above issues: RELIGION! Believe in what you believe in, not what someone told you to believe (not something that probably needs to be said here).

I really wish I could have liked this about 10,000 times

I thought the trailer was great, kinda came off as a film, or documentary of 'Billie Joe's life without Green Day'. One that note, it'd be sick as fuck if Mike and Tre had cameos in it. :P I personally liked the title Geezer better, but Ordinary world feeds into the whole Green Day vibe nicely. Ughhh I'm so excited to see this.

Do you want the answer to Mike and Tre?

Spoiler

They don't

What I meant to say is that in my country, for instance, it's completely fine for someone to say stuff like "Nigger" or "Faggot" as long as you are joking. Of course that if you truly are racist, xenophobic or homophobic you will surely be rejected by everyone.

But in places like USA or Europe you can't even joke about it, it's ridiculous.

That's why I said people shouldn't be saying stuff like "Excuse you, she has a name.. triggered", chill out.

I fucking hate PC culture.

funny.

i'm sure it's not your whole country. just a bunch of idiots your age thinking it's acceptable because they are not serious. i fail to see the punchline of that joke though. you're allowed to say it, but deal with it that people are allowed to think it's a fucking stupid thing to do. i hate the "oh we're so ironic, everything is ironic, we are above everything, irony makes unattackable"- culture.

@ crock: i was sarcastic.

Just because people pointed out his post about her was disrespectful/rude it doesn't mean they were "triggered", no one freaked out about it.

I think it's quite clear that while the post was disrespectful towards Rebecca Naomi Jones as an actress Seagull referred to her as a black girl only to identify her and no racism was intended. No need for a racism/PC debate, let's move on and get back to discussing the film.

Get your head out of your arse and be polite you prick. Political correctness is just being considerate with your language, it's not state oppression.

Sorry big boy and no.. it's not just "idiots of my age", and it's not about laughing about it either. It's just not getting offended by a word without even taking into consideration the intention behind it.

There's a lot of immigrants of my country in the US and it's like a common joke among us to talk about how americans freak out if you, for example, say "black" "gay" or fatty" to refer to someone, we don't mean it as pejorative term, actually is a common thing, almost friendly.

And I didn't meant to go off topic, I was initally talking about Rebecca N. Jones.

Read what I just said.

That's the thing, it's not unpolite to say this words, unlike in your countries which is fine.

I know, but now things have ended up off topic, so let's end this discussion and get back on topic now.

This is offtopic but Billie uses the line

"When he said "it's just a bunch of niggers throwing gas into the ...."

But how many times have you EVER heard him say the N word? FUCKING NEVER.

WELL Mass Hysteria has it in the lyrics but it's actually a quote of a character in the album I think.

you guys should log off or take a breather. I came on here excited thinking that there was news about the movie only to see a huge argument about what's appropriate to say and not say. Could you please keep that out of a thread about Billie's new movie?

The trailer got me much more excited for this movie. Judging from it, Billie's acting has improved. And the songs playing in the background sound stellar. I can't wait to watch the whole thing, it might be a solid movie.

Never mind delete

I was hoping you would do that.  Anyway, I'm pretty psyched to see this movie... the trailer had me laughing when Willie Joe asked Fred Armisen if that beautiful black actress was going to strip and Freddy says, 'no, I think she's gonna  read the bible'.   Looking forward to the film.

Anyone else noticed that at 0:18 in the trailer it looks like the tattoos that are on his right arm are on his left arm?
