I love how BJ polished his shoes for the occasion.

I didn't notice. I wasn't looking at his feet

I like that he ditched the converse for the boots, they were perfect. But yeah, wasn't really looking at his feet too much.

Well, yeah, that's generally expected that people attending a screening of a film would ask the creators and actors from the film about the film. It wasn't a Green Day press junket. Still worth sharing, though.

HA good to know.

Come on you would think one wise ass would ask about the album

I love that they played Scattered. That song is so awesome! One of my favorites from Nimrod. I liked the new songs too. Though I wasn't expecting a ballad, but it's pretty. I loved that Joan Jett played with them and did "Bad Reputation". That's a bad @ss song!

I wasn't there to see the movie, but have read the spoilers. I find it interesting that the band would be touring with Mudhoney. Isn't Perry's band Punk? I don't know if Punk and Grunge would've mixed back then because they were 2 totally different genres. Watch interviews with Billie from the 90's on what he thinks about Grunge.

Anyway, the movie sounds like it's good and Billie's acting has improved so I'm excited to see it.

Depending what year it's supposed to be Mudhoney hasn't been grunge band since early 90's they changed styles as Mark put it "it got boring" they're more like Sonic Youth meets REM now

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, I have been pretty busy getting back to reality after the screening but Geezer got a 7.9 / 10 on IMDB. That's pretty damn good!

I hate to be that guy, but there are only 9 people who rated it, and I am almost certain that a majority are Green Day fans, meaning that there may be some bias. Don't get me wrong, I think the movie sounds good and I do hope to see it at some point, but I wouldn't look too closely at the IMDB rating right now.

Remember, a few days before Star Wars 7 was released, it was already on the top 250 movie list for IMDB based off of ratings.

There are only about 500 people, that re not associated with the film, that have actually seen it.  Most people don't go on IMDB and rate movies.

Interesting, I didn't know they were around. I never was much of a fan. But I do know that some members of Mudhoney and Pearl Jam were in a band together before the 2 seperate bands.

Green River Mark Arm and Steve Turner  and the guitarist and think bassist of pearl jam one of Sub Pop's first releases

yeah Mudhoney is still around mainly on the touring side and a album every now and then last one was in 2013 but after Nirvana exploded and the whole grunge scene went overboard Mark and em didn't want to quit but was tired of the sound so when they got signed to Atlantic they switched to alt rock

Yeah Green River. Thank you I couldn't remember the name of the band. Did you ever listen to Mother Love Bone? I like their music too. Their one and only album was cool. Too bad the singer, Andrew Wood died of a heroin overdose. It would've been interesting to see where they went with the music. Then again, we never would've had Pearl Jam then.

Oh yeah I was a huge Seattle fanatic in the 90's

Yeah I realized that after I posted. :/ For some reason I was under the impression that only certain people could rate movies on IMDb

Based on the flashback scene in the beginning, I presume it's supposed to have been somewhere around 1995. But I agree with unextraordinary girl that I thought it was a weird choice, based on how this band sounds. Sticking them with Bad Religion or something would've been better. But then I suppose it's not completely unheard of, given the similar influences of 90s punk and grunge and all of the altrock music fests, to have grunge and punk acts on the same bill. I kind of feel like the writer wanted to throw in an intentionally dated music reference to be purely indicative of the 90s, but may not have thought too much about the context.

I don't mind giving you a summary, if you actually want one, but I honestly can't tell if you are serious or not.

After the flashback scene, they said 20 years later, so 1995 is accurate.

oh yeah, the flashback specifically said it was in 1995, even without doing math on the 20 years later. I just meant that we don't technically know how much later the tour was with Mudhoney. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, the tour w/ Mudhoney would've had to be a much more recent thing than the 90s, since Salome doesn't seem to be that old. Does anyone recall if they mentioned her age? Or what grade she was in? IMDB says the actress is 13, but it's common enough for actors to play slightly younger roles than what they actually are. Even if we use Madisyn's age as a baseline, though, the Mudhoney tour would've had to be in 2001/2002. This makes even less sense now. :P
