For anyone that is coming from out of town, forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy, high near 63 low near 46.  A pretty seasonable day.

I see morning showers but even so that should not be too much of an issue except for possible delays or something of that sort.
And if anyone is arriving on Friday, again, there may be delays because of showers but you should be alright

Noaa said 30% chance of showers. That is nothing. That shouldn't cause any delays

Hey everyone!

I'm planning on rushing for tix for Geezer on Saturday.  Are most of you rushing or do you guys already have tickets?  I rushed at Tribeca FF this past weekend for a documentary, and they don't even set up the line for the movies until an hour beforehand, so getting there earlier than that is kind of unproductive.  What time are rushers going to line up?  The line won't be set up until like 7 PM, but I feel like I should get there a little earlier.....

I think most of us have tickets.  Did you see Hard Lovin' Woman?  My friend saw it, she said Juliette was great.

No, I saw a documentary produced by Jon Stewart about the Syrian refugees called After Spring.  It was fantastic!

I should've bought tix for Geezer.... I wasn't planning on seeing it, but now that I know BJA will be there afterwards, of course I'm gonna try to get in!  I'm seeing Hamilton on Broadway at 2 PM that day, so my plan is to go straight from there to get a little buzzed and wait in line for Geezer!

I bought a ticket in advanced, but I may or may not do rush, in case my father wants to go.
I would have bought him one at the same time I did, but paying 80 bucks upfront was too daunting.
He hasn't seen Billie or Green Day at all in person, so if he does want to, you'll probably see me there. If that is the case, I may arrive by early afternoon.

The thing with Tribeca is that they have like 3 lines for each movie they are showing, and they don't let you line up for a movie until an hour before it starts (and then they give you the ticket literally 5 minutes before, so you have to spring to the theater!)  So even if you know which line is going to be the Geezer line, there will be another movie's line currently waiting in that spot.... so I'm not even sure arriving early is helpful....

I wonder if that's the case for this movie? This is being shown at Spring Studios, which is more of a gallery than a movie theater, so I don't know if any other movies are being played there that night.

Hmm yeah, maybe you're right.  I see it's not at the same location as a lot of the rest of Tribeca.

I've never participated in the Tribeca Film Festival, so this is all a first for me.

I just filtered the film guide to see the films that would only be screened at spring studios, and apparently Geezer is the only one shown on Saturday.
Granted, there is a Virtual Arcade thing on the same day, but it's not a screening and it's also on the 5th floor, not the 6th.
I'm assuming we may have to line up outside?

As I stated, I'll arrive early enough to ask questions and if it's too early, I'll still be in the area.
Should be interesting, the whole experience.

To figure out the general size of the venue, Ive been using Instagram to look up other screenings that have already happened on the 6th floor of spring studios. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a really good picture that accurately depicts the size. The best ones I have found are these. I wish I was able to find a picture from the way back

I have a feeling its not going to be raised seating like most movie theaters.

Ahhh heres a better picture of the venue.

It isn't raised seating and we established quite awhile ago that it is about 800 people

Is there a dress code? Everyone seems to be dressed decently nice.

I don't think there is a dress code.  But it is a movie premiere at the closing Saturday night of the Tribeca film festival.  I plan to go casual, but nice casual.  I am wearing a skirt, nice shirt, boots.
