Wtf! I just listen to sex drugs and violce on the demo...WHY THE FUCK did they not use that solo instead of the typical whimpy one string solo that's on the version now! ?

This brings back the feelings of how I wondered why didn't they use the solo for fuck time that billie played in cuatro.

My god those guitars....so much energy. A little boy named train is soooooo good and all the rest too... much better than the Trilogy ones.. I hope the next album will be like this... I mean less filters and more dirty guitars.

Is that a quote from something?

"Sometimes you have to burn down your house in order to see the moon" from The Oranges. Dr. House is in it.

99 Revs - The key change is good at the end, one of the better marked improvements from the original.

Angels Shoe - Aside from Billies voice is this not exactly the same take as the one on Uno?

Carpet Diet - Good, although I don't think a lot has changed this version is a little better than the version on Uno

State of Shockingly Bad Music - Not worth listening to much, one of the worst of the trilogy songs 2/10 would not listen to!

Let yourself No - No

Sex Drugs and Nice Men - The guitars have a great tone, Mike trys to hard to sound like Billie when he sings!

Ashley - May as well listen to the version on Dos

Fell 5 You - The one on Uno is better not a lot alot to say about it, sounds like a rehearsal of it before they recorded it, not bad, but not worth listening to over the one on Uno.

Stay the Night - Same as fell 5 you. No markable difference, just sounds like a rehearsal

Nuclear Family - My favourite from the trilogy and again this just sounds like a rehearsal of the final take!

Stray Fart - Could live with out this, the version on Dos is great, this one just isn't gonna get me as pumped for a night out!

Rusty Jams - The guitar tone is again improved and I like what the second (Lead guitar) does during the verse and in placed on this one, better than the album version.

Little Boy named Plain - much like the version on Tre a pretty plain song

Baby Ice - Mikes bass at the start ruins this one (sorry MD), Yeah again may as well listen to the one on Dos aside from the Bass fart at the star nothing has change that is much better.

Make out Party - The Dos version is better, not enough punch here.

Oh Love - Ok as a demo but very similar to the version on Uno, but one of the better demos on Demolicious

Missing You - I like this one, the second (Lead guitar) as on Rusty James has some good moments in a couple of parts which are nice.

Stay the night - Would have been good if Billie had posted on his twitter or whatever like he did with Worry Rock a while back.

Anyway here is my opinions. Overall album 5/10

May buy in support of RSD

I've only listened through once so far, but I mostly agree with this comment review. Like 90% agree.

That's why they shouldn't have told anyone though. They should've released only their best material and acted like the rest didn't exist (or kept working on it until it was up to standard). Instead of going for numbers, they should have gone for quality and only released the songs that they thought were the most absolutely amazing things they'd ever come up with. It's what any artist should do (musical or otherwise).

Are we presuming that people are still ignorant enough to believe that the final track list for any album is comprised of the only songs written and recorded in the entire session?

99 Revolutions is amazing. I love that we now have a recorded version with the key change.

They should have had different production for different songs. Some songs called for louder guitars, some songs called for quieter guitars. Some songs should have been more stripped down than others. It would have made the whole 3 different albums thing a lot more interesting and also give the songs the individual attention they deserve.

I like the melody in the Nuclear Family demo during the chorus better than the album for sure

Um Demolicious was amazing, I had zero complaints on anything... other than the band agreeing that they were sloppy on rusty james...because it was way better than the studio ver.

And the Eb tuning for acoustic Stay the Night was just so radically different...I love it

It felt so '39 Smooth'ish

I wet my pants

Mmmm still didn't really care for the demos or even the new song but I do really like the vocals being more raw on this than on the studio versions. Hope you bring me back to loving you guys with your next record, Green Day!

State of shock seems like a mixture of various melodies from the old songs. I definitely caught 'Chump' in there.

Also, the demo of Baby Eyes kicks the shit out of the one on Dos, and that was my favorite song from the trilogy. It fucking rocks.

That bass line at the beginning. Pure sex

Baby eyes sounds much better, the bass is better than the "1,2,3 gooo" in the album version.

I still don't get why green day didn't just run with this sound instead of the squeaky clean of the trilogy? Billie wanted a live sounding album and that's what it sounded like.

Only song that was a let down was acoustic stay the night. I'm not sure if I like his voice or not? I imagined it sounding sort of like time of your life live, with the energy and emotion I guess.

Missing You actually makes me melt. JFC, STAHP IT BILLIE.:cry: <3

Only downfall is the lack of "fuckin' disaster." But that would make it too perfect, so obviously that couldn't happen.

Baby Eyes, 99 Revolutions, Angel Blue, and Sex, Drugs & Violence are so great. Probably my least favorite demo would have to be A Little Boy Named Train, and that's just cause it feels too slow compared to more upbeat studio recording. Overall though these demos are an absolute delight to my ears. It's really cool seeing where they made changes and how Billie changed the bridges and lyrics (I find it particularly amusing that he replaced a couple adjectives here and there with "fuck" on the final recordings).

Overall it's a killer compilation, I just wish it had a few more songs (Lazy Bones, X-Kid, 8th Avenue Serenade, Fuck Time, Wow! That's Loud, Amanda, Kill The DJ...).
