I doubt it will be that big or really heavily promoted or anything. This has always been a much more low-key thing. They release something special (though this is the biggest thing they've ever done) just to help support record stores. Just putting something out is usually enough attention for these things to sell out.

I'm really hoping record stores out here get some of these.

You can always call your record store that takes part in RSD and request that they order it

And if you are friends with employees or the manager or owner at the record store you may even can get them to a hold a copy for you (even tho they arent supposed to)

As soon as I found out if this is a real thing.

Is this a worldwide thing.

So, having never had the faintest interest in Record Store Day before now, you can only buy this physically in stores? And is it usually just on vinyl?

There will most likely be a few online stores selling it. The whole point of record store day is to support vinyl so they wont stop making them so they usually are just on vinyl.

I'm fairly certain there will be a digital release a little way down the line. A CD release is very unlikely.

I'm pretty sure it's only an American thing. There's usually only a limited amount release and you need to go to a store to get them.

I asked Adeline Records on Twitter if they knew anything about Demolicious, which they replied to with a winky face. Then when I said "I'll take that as a yes," they responded with "It's pretty great." So take that how you will. ;)

Surely that depends on the store.

Depends loke when DGC released the RSD exclusive of Nirvanas Incesticide last year they had a do not hold restriction to the stores (some others did as well i guess just depends on the label and whats being issued) but of course its not something a label can really enforce and it does depend on the store in Houston at Cactus they will not hold any rsd on rsd days for anyone whole Vinyl Edge (a much smaller all vinyl store) will do so if they know the customer

Am I the only one who wants a full 9 minute version of The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink?

What are the chances they would tour after this release? Or would they continue working on new material?

Who cares? Is anything ever enough for some people?

Is this supposed to be ironic? I'd say its a legitimate question. Not that they'd do a full tour after they just said the contrary, but I could see a club show or two in the Bay Area in the coming months. I think Green Day has proven with the unexpected Foxboro gig and this news here that they'll do whatever they want :P

Huh never knew that, I always though of the two as separate. I feel as though the world could use someone of Tre's genius...

I didn't realize labels tried to instruct stores on things like that. That's really weird.
