Walked by a record store the other day wtih hubby, near my mom's new apartment, and wanted to go in and ask but hubby was in a hurry and didn't want to stop. :( Might stop in this weekend if I'm around there and see what they have to say.

Which record store are you looking to go to? I know Reckless Records said they will be selling it.

i cant believe this is just less than 2 weeks away *_* a NEW green day song included, im sure i will start realizing this first when i finally hold my copy of the CD in my hands :D i hope mike is true with his comment that this demo lp will sound like their old songs at lookout, would be sth special for the fans of their older sound, raw and dirty :3 a bit more promotion would be nice too ^^

but even the record stores in bigger cities here in germany dont seem to have any notice of this :D i asked a record store if they would sell the CD and they told me they didnt plan to order 'demolicious' but they will order at least one copy (cd) for me :)

To be fair labels don't really promote record store day releases...

OMG that's exactly the store I saw. Are you going to be there? What time? I should really make plans to go now.

Reckless is so popular, especially the Wicker Park one (damn you, High Fidelity, much as I love that movie!), that it will likely be packed as shit! I would anticipate very long lines, longer than many other stores. If you're looking at the Wicker Park or Broadway ones, there's an Exchange next to the Wicker Park Reckless, and down the road from the Broadway one on Belmont by the Red Line that don't attract as much of a hipster crowd. I love Reckless, but they're hipster central. This means you may not have problems getting Green Day music, but they'll be packed.

Okay. So, if anyone is going to a record store on RSD (where the cassette is available) and you're NOT trying to get the cassette for yourself - would you please get one for me and send it to me? (Of course, I would pay for the cassette and the shipping!!)

Please write me a PM if you're willing to do this :)

Yay one of my local stores has confirmed they'll be selling the vinyl and cassette :D

Not sure if anyone has posted prices yet or if they vary from store to store but they said the LP will be £23 and the cassette £15.

Maybe I should stick with my original plan and go to the Jazz Mart.

I ordered the cd on German amazon, but it's a random seller and it doesn't seem official, that's why I ordered it on account. Anyways, yesterday I got a confirmation that they've already sent it.... So I MIGHT have it next week :) or even early.... I'll let you know if it's really the right cd ;)

i can't figure out how someone can already have that cd when most of the record stores don't?

Should hear any day now whether my local record store will have any copies of this. I wonder if there will be any promotion whatsoever from the band? As far as I know only Mike has acknowledged it on Instagram right? It'd be pretty cool if they did a surprise show somewhere playing some of the songs from Demolicious, including State of Shock.

It's a scam, most likely.

That's what I was thinking haha. In all likelihood the surprise show would take place at either 1-2-3-4 Go! or at the Amoeba in San Francisco. Amoeba would be perfect because it has a band stage. :)

But only State Of Shock is ACTUALLY from Demolicious;

If they're playing other songs I don't think they'll play them in demo form

Pretty stoked about this. Is anyone from here lining up early at 1234 Go?

Why on Earth would they play a show with the "demo versions" of songs?

I think what they were referring to was just s surprise show with State of Shock performed. Just to get a small word about the album out.

If someone doesn't currently know about this album, then they probably aren't fan enough to want it :P
