Green Day to release LP titled "Demolicious" to support Record Store Day

I hate collecting vinyl, it's so expensive, and I don't even like listening to the records because I like to keep them mint, or I don't want to scratch them :(

I understand, I don´t have a record player anymore, so it will be just a collectors item. :)

Depends on whether or not the RSD store orders the CD. My local store said they only ordered vinyl

Is RSD something you should get to the store really early for?

hah i'm pulling an all nighter for it, as i don't normally go to sleep until 3/4am. it'll be worth it, though. so long as they have it. if they don't, i'll be extremely tired and angry. won't end well. tables will be flipped.

When stores order items they have to pay a company for the items

The company can't take money and just send random things so that "we order but we don't know what we will get" line is kind of BS if a store pays for Demolicious the label can't take the money and decide to send something else instead...

They don't know exactly what they will get. I got a message back saying they will be getting CD copies. But might get vinyl as well, it all depends on availability. I would assume that they don't pay for it up front but put in applications to receive stock. As the cd is not limited they are 100% sure they will get it, but the vinyl is limited so they dont know if stock will be allocated to them. They wont pay until the stock is allocated to them.

Here is the message I got.

We will be stocking it on cd when it is released. The Record Store Day vinyl release we may get depending on availability.

A lot of record stores probably only get what they know they can sell. If they know there aren't going to be people interested in the vinyl and cassette, why would they even bother to order it? You guys should be like "I am SO pumped for Demolicious!! I want the vinyl, cassette and the CD!" and maybe they will think twice. If there's a demand, they will supply.

the store in my town has ordered everything. But they will know with certainty the cd / lp arriving, only during the rsd. This is because not always all ordered goods arrive.

The store in my hometown ordered it, too, when I asked them today. Fingers crossed...
