"Yknow" should be a song

It kind of is already,

Do "y'know" your Enemy?

Do "y'know" your Enemy?

.........and so on

You forgot fuck and heart and mind and soul

Actually, I don't think "soul" is used very often at all in Green Day lyrics and maybe not at all in like, the 90s.

Also, "fuck" wasn't used in heavy rotation until pretty recently.

Mind seems like a winner.

Nimrod was quite profane - especially "Platypus" (there's a reason the lyrics aren't in the booklet!) Also, "The Grouch."

"Y'know" and "fuck" just seem to be Billie Joe's favorite words. I don't think he even CAN control his language!

If anyone manages to speak to Weird Al at some point, please mention this to him. He did "Canadian Idiot" (which Billie Joe liked), and it seems like pretty much everyone in the music industry likes him (kind of like Warren Zevon, but more well-known). Also, he's psychic (he predicted the Best Actor and Best Director Oscar winners nearly 12 hours in advance).

I've met him a few times, super nice guy, but definitely does not like getting song ideas.

Possible price estimate! These guys are located throughout Maine and New Hampshire, though, so prices will likely vary throughout the country, but at least we have a (possible) MSRP. I'll comb more for the CD and cassette prices if they have them up. They also note that the official list of ALL Record Store Day releases will be put out on March 20 (a British radio station called XFM will apparently be announcing them between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. GMT [look at what time zone you are in to determine what time it will be where you are]). A shop in Surrey called Banquet Records says that XFM will be doing the announcing at 6:00 p.m. EXACT (http://www.banquetrecords.com/RSD14).

When it comes to most used Green Day lyrics there is one clear winner: walking!

Hoping I'll actually be able to get this.....there's no independent record shops anywhere near me. Sure I'll manage to get hold of it somehow though.

Actually 'Broken and Alone' sounds like an awesome song title on its own

The MSRP for the CD is $18.98 (seriously?), and for the cassette it is $11.98. I hope that these prices aren't the actual MSRPs (and I desperately hope that stores won't actually charge the MSRPs!)

1) These links don't work for me - am I the only one who has this problem?

2) What are "MSRP"s?

FYE isn't around much anymore so they won't be screwing over people much with it.

Yeah, I thought about it too, that maybe they didn't have a demo of it or something like that.

It's just that is such a beautiful, it would have been nice to hear something different like an acoustic or piano version... =/

I would love to hear Billie do an all acoustic version of Brutal Love.

I think "cigarette" might be the most used word in Green Day lyrics.

You forgot I. That one pops up a lot. It's more of a letter really.

1) These links don't work for me - am I the only one who has this problem?

2) What are "MSRP"s?

1) I just tried them, they work just fine. In any case, go to bullmoose.com and click on "Record Store Day 2014" and then browse through their releases until you find the Green Day ones (be warned, though, the vinyl is listed well before the other formats, and nothing for Record Store Day shows up in their search bar).

2) It stands for "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" (i.e. how much the people who make the item THINK you should sell it for - of course, stores can set their own prices higher or lower, if they so desire - if everyone sold at the MSRP).

FYE isn't around much anymore so they won't be screwing over people much with it.

Then how do you explain the high MSRPs? I mean, the store I linked to appears to have set their prices a little lower for everything (about $3 off for the LP, $1 off for tape, and $5 off for CD), but those are still awfully high for a cassette or a CD. Most of their vinyls (even the limited edition stuff) appear to be reasonably priced (even the MSRP is reasonable), but the Green Day tape and CD... what's the deal with them?

Edit: I can maybe see the cassette being higher since Warner Bros. doesn't do them anymore (although they DID put out Foreverly on tape), but a CD that high is inexcusable.

What's the big fucking deal? $20 for a CD? Who cares? the American Idiot Broadway cd is like $18 at Best Buy. Does an extra $5 or $10 really make a big difference for your favorite band? You're not gonna have to hungry over it. Maybe cut back on the snack food, or drink water for a day instead of buying 1 or 2 sodas. It's not that hard to save up an extra $10.

Just emailed my local record store to ask if they'll have it. They claim to be one of the best in the UK so they'd better :P not sure where I'll get it otherwise, nearly all the record shops around here have closed.

The site doesn't work at all. Really weird, because I never had a website that wasn't available in my country (it seems).

Thanks for the explaining :)

$18 is standard MSRP for cds...

I've only seen regular CDs go for that much at FYE.

Well most places dont go off on the MSRP they will set their prices up based off the wholesale price

But if you look at retailer's one sheets you'll see most albums have a MSRP of 18 or so
