They can have their cassettes im waiting for the best video format to come back laserdiscs... (dead serious too laserdiscs were the only format to not have any compression done video or audio wise it was the same quality as what was filmed and recorded)

omg yes please. One of my teachers in grade school used them for lessons (this was in 1999) and we were so fascinated by them and didn't understand why they didn't take off, because we rather liked them.

I was kind of sad that Lazy Bones and DRB isn't on the list of demos, but still I'll listen to it for a while, can't wait actually. haven't been in this much of a Green Day mode for a while.

I guess we can't expect some bonus tracks?

I actually never thought about that... Yeah, maybe if the sell Demolicious on Japan too.. Remember they always put bonus tracks on Japana because they are expensive there..

Maybe Dreamcatcher? or another Demo? :runaround:

Actually... I don't think they put another new song but we can get some others Demos or Versions (Like the Acoustic Version of Stay the Night).

Cause the non techies/aux snobs didnt like the fact they were huge discs and had to get up and flip the discs over every 40 mins it wasn't "convenient"

So some are wanting bonus tracks on an album that's full of bonus tracks? Let's be thankful that we are getting this album in the first place...

I'm not saying I want more bonus tracks. But it's a possibility, so we might as well discuss it, that's what this thread is for isn't it? :D

Yeah it would be fantastic if there were some more bonus tracks. And it's always a possibility with different releases in different countries and stuff even if it isn't particularly likely. Stating that fact doesn't mean we're not happy about what we're already getting, it's just a cool possibility to think about.

And great as it is, all they're doing is releasing an album. We pay them for it so it's a fair exchange, not a gift from god we need to be all humble and thankful about :P

This is already essentially a double album OF bonus tracks. I don't even understand the concept of bonus tracks on an album like this. That's like paying taxes on your taxes.

I see different versions of songs we've heard as being different to songs we've never heard though :P. Like State Of Shock is clearly the "bonus" of this album. Wouldn't be totally crazy to see another demo of an unheard song on the Japanese version or something. Maybe not hugely likely but you never know, they do have a lot of demos of unheard songs floating around.

Japan is like another planet when it comes to album releases.

I asked if I could order it in HMV and they said no. They said they probably wouldn't even be getting copies of it, so I went to a small independent shop and they said that on April 19th they would be getting all sorts of special stuff in and people usually queue up from about 6am as it is first come first served. I couldn't reserve it here either though. The guy behind the desk had heard of Demolicious and said it was just the type of thing they would be getting in on the day, but it was luck really.

I still don't get this cassette resurgence tbh. It screams of people (originally hipsters) angry that more people (like nonhipsters) are now buying vinyl and they needed something else to feel superior about, so they decided to buy cassettes again ... but now bands like Green Day are releasing cassettes, so they'll be mad again. Well, jokes on them, because I'm not a hipster and I have the ability to play what will likely be their next foray into dead and not-great quality technology: the 8-track player.

I don't know if they'll sell the album digitally on or after RSD, but I know that I have a shitton of RSD exclusives on my iTunes and I certainly never bought them, so I'm sure they'll be accessible in some form (legally? Maybe not ).

Oh right I knew that. I love the interludes so that's probably a cool little record to own
