That Dude
I am very disappointed with this tracklist. Green Day has SO many unreleased tracks and here is a two disc collection with only ONE new track? I certainly hope that the demo versions are vastly different from the completed tracks. I will buy this (I buy all Green Day releases, no matter what), but feel like there should be more on it. Dreamcatcher, Oh Girl, Gabriealla, Ruby Mae, Hotfoot Jamboree.... Todd
No I understand why, it's just you said why would they do that and then said I think they'll release a red and clear one. I'm confused haha He meant that since this is a double LP, side a+b would be red and sides c+d would be clear. I don't know if double vinyls have ever had mix colors like that before, I've never owned one. But that sounds a lot nicer than having to buy two just for the different colors

They didn't put this out as a way to purge their unreleased demos. Green Day likes to cook songs and think on them for a while. They will either develop their unreleased music or put it out in a proper compilation. Releasing songs like Dreamcatcher, Ruby Mae, etc. wasn't the objective of Demolicious, so there's nothing to be disappointed about. I'm a math teacher, so forgive me for this comparison, but it's like if I go into work tomorrow saying "Today we're learning interest rates" and a kid throws a fit because we're not working on his favorite topic, algebra. That's just not what's happening today, so shut up (not you, the kid I'm picturing in my head ) Green Day gives us what they give us, and what they're giving us is just random crap for Record Store Day. The stuff we want is irrelevant. They can release their unreleased stuff when and how they want to, and it's a totally separate suitcase of songs. I guess it's not uncommon or any more expensive
Insomniac1984
Yes in Heart Like A Hand Grenade it happens, I'm certain Andres said about it earlier in the thread. I watched last night that documentary (broadcasted on fuse) and I didn't warch that.
burnout409
I watched last night that documentary (broadcasted on fuse) and I didn't warch that. The whole film has never been shown apart from one cinema screening, a lucky few on GDC have seen it, Andres being one. It's a full 2 hourish film not just the 20 min clips from Fuse. Edit: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/95432-heart-like-a-hand-grenade-2014/ The whole thing may come out this year, check out that thread
Fuzz
hey, i just found proof of letterbomb being on warning originally! from the GDA- "opportunity to watch as Billie Joe crosses out the title "Clusterbomb" and alters lyrics for the song that later became "Letterbomb" was an unforeseen delight." That's why I posted this: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/96178-green-day-to-release-lp-titled-demolicious-to-support-record-store-day/?p=5588293 (I co-wrote that review you quoted)
beejeezee
Me too! Really looking forward to that one. And Makeout Party. I wonder what the sexy noises will be like I'm really excited for all of it. Eep demos!
KGLWW
You mean like a C&V sounding Billie? All nasally on Lights Out. Hey thanks for reminding of that song. I had forgotten about it, but just downloaded it!

munns6691
To the post about Christie Road being auto-tuned on AAF: I think that's more of a side effect of raising the vocals while drowning out the crowd.
porksoda
Being that I haven't actually went out and bought a record in forever, can anyone explain to me how I obtain an album that's being put out for RSD specifically? Like, do I just find a participating record store and hope they'll have whatever format of Demolicious that I'm looking for?
scwk0511
When there's an image of a person where you can only see the shape/outline of them and not any other features (often so it kind of looks like a shadow), that's a silhouette. There's the silhouettes of the band members in the artwork, below the track listing. Yep, know WHAT a silhouette is, just couldn't find the one you were talking about. Did manage to find it thru a good ole Google search tho. I love the artwork on the cover...good stuff!

Hammie Stein
Well I know they're the same song, though I'm sure changed, because in Heart Like a Hand Grenade there's a scene showing Billie working on the lyrics to Clusterbomb, then he crosses out title on the page and writes "Letterbomb". How the fuck did you find this 0_0. The movie isnt even out!

tvrman
It will be interesting to see what we get on Demolicicious. The word 'demo' can mean different things as bands will sometimes go through a few demos before finalising the songs. I hope it includes at least one Billie demo of a song as he first presented it to the band. I see a few post discussing 're-records' of some tracks, that is unlikely as I would consider them alternate versions not demos, though a mix of demo and alternate versions would be a stronger release. UnoDosTre only era tracks; well I'll be a corporate cynic and state that is to increase sales of the trilogy as UnoDosTre sales are considered as one album are they not, and Demoliciloius will be added in as well ? I think I will listen to a leak first though before buying.
Stefano Bras
Damn it, I'm just too excited about the release of Demolicious. I don't know if I can wait too long... I'm just hoping for it to leak soon HAHAHA. I just update this thread like every hour to see news about Demolicious.. geez.

I can't even handle that gif in your sig; that's great omg I had no idea that "State of Shock" was an actual song, and the other night Shawn was like "Here, listen to this Green Day song" and I was like "wtf that's not a real song" but apparently it is It was a really shitty version of the song though so I didn't get to hear it. JOE THE X-KID
To be honest State of shock sounds great but it seems just like another typical UNO track
