My wish has been granted - Carpe Diem in its "true" form

Could do without Oh Love, and although Nuclear Family is great, I think it has great production to begin with, so I see marginal differences there. Also, wasn't there another verse that got cut from DRB? That would've been nice. Regardless, I'm really excited

Uno - 9 Tracks

Dos - 4 Tracks

Tre - 4 Tracks

I think that says something

But what...

Relative to album sales?

How different demos were compared to final cuts?

Could be anything.

I like the choices from Tre, especially curious about LBNT. but I already love Sex Drugs and violence so Im excited for that!

unrelated: why are there always more guests than members reading the thread lol

Well, it also reflects on which tracks are "better" I guess. Idk if Green Day likes Uno better, or if they think we like Uno better, or what.

It's all Warner employees looking at our reactions, in terms of $$$

I find it funny the fact that the trilogy artwork was so simple, basically some IPhone pics and a "oh look at all these pretty colours" style and something like everybody could do with Paint, while a collection of demos has a badass artwork like this.

Seriously, I'd buy that only for the cover art :)

Think a bit about it...

Songs like Wild One, X-Kid, Brutal Love etc... were surely unlikely to be on Demolicious because probably they didn't have a demo at all..

The reason of why there is a lot of UNO songs is not because of the sales... In my opinion, I think theres a lot of UNO songs because these were the older ones of the entire trilogy so those songs are likely to have a lot of demos and stuff...

Remember that the guys said that they have a lot of songs but there weren't in chronological order? they put it together with a theme (Before Party, Party, Hangover). So, this means that songs like Stray Heart, Sex Drugs & Violence, Little Boy Named Train, Makeout Party are old songs of the trilogy (have a demo) and Kill the DJ, Wow! Thats Loud, Amanda etc... are the newest (didnt have a demo)

Thats my speculation :)

How could they think Carpe Diem is better than Brutal Love, tho?

Edit: I think most of the trilogy songs on the tour were from ¡Uno! as well.

Read what I said before.. Its the more logical thing.

Im sure the tracklist wasnt an election of what are the greatest songs.. I think that some songs didnt have a demo.

I'm excited to hear oh love, hope it's like the Red 7 version. I'm also torn between Vinyl and CD

Too much bitching and complaining. One week ago we had no idea they were going to be even releasing ANYTHING!

Yeah, I guess that depends on opinion though. It seems like a lot of people (including Green Day themselves maybe) like Uno the best.

Personally, it's my least favorite of the trilogy. Not that it's bad, but I think Dos and Tré were more interesting and less predictable. Uno just seems like standard GD songs that anyone who's heard Dookie would expect from them.

Good point.

But we know Kill The DJ originally sounded different, Wild One had some different lyrics, and Dirty Rotten Bastards had entire verses that didn't end up in the studio version. Overall I'm fine with the track list, but it would have been cool to hear at least those ones I just listed since they were so different.

Also, I think they should have tried to make it more balanced between the three albums, instead of having 9 from Uno and just 4 from each of the other too.

I agree they should make the record more balanced but the thing isnt even released yet, maybe theres a lot of UNO songs for a reason.

I guess we have to wait and see hahaha

you got a link tman?

thanks in advance

It's just KYE and Hearts Collide on a numbered 7", I have Black vinyl, I think there might have been clear too, I'm not sure

"Hard Times", "Wasteaway", "Sleepyhead" & "Clusterhand" are from the Warning sessions (at least)

Hard Times was a trilogy session song, it was on one of the many tracklists in Cuatro

It will be good to hear State of Shock. I remember liking it from what I heard.

I had the song on a list with demos, I made in 2010. Unfortunately I lost the file :(
