Green Day to release LP titled "Demolicious" to support Record Store Day

The buyer is never held responsible. They won't ask your birthday or anything just name and account info. Call amazon and day it never arrived. They're too big of a company to let that slide.

You can file a claim or something to get a refund, right? But I definitely agree that Amazon and/or the Amazon seller should be informed.

I bought it from an amazon seller. I don't think I'll be able to get my money back though. Looks like I'll be waiting until the 19th May to get the digital download.

same here dude, from amazon too

Hmm, wonder if it's the same seller...

So for people who've already got the lp, will there be a way to get a digital download free? I really don't feel like carrying a record player on the train haha

There's no download code or anything. Either you buy the digital download, rip it from the CD or you illegally download it from somewhere.

I was gonna keep them sealed, but wanted to see the artwork.

I opened my vinyl, that's enough for me.

Good investment for the future when one of the guys dies you got there.

This makes me both happy and sad.

I think I'm not going to open my cassette. I've already heard the songs digitally and on vinyl, so I might as well keep something mint (or whatever the term is). :P

I got a clear version from a local record store.

Oh ok. Then maybe they aren't split internationally.

Found a bunch of CDs at a music store in Metro Detroit, and two cassettes! It wasn't as expensive as the other stores my friends went to, either, so now I finally have it

I still haven't opened my CD. Oops. :ninja: It wasn't really an intentional thing, but now I just think I'm gonna leave it unopened. Just ~because. Is the digital download available yet? I'll probably just pay for the official download so I'm certain I have the highest quality files.

The "digital download" has been available for about a week longer than the official release ;)

I have that one, obviously. I did about 10 minutes after it leaked. I was just wondering if the "official" download sounded any different, I guess, quality-wise.

I read somewhere that the official digital download was due out on 19th May but it doesn't seem to be available on iTunes over here. Maybe it's US only or something.

Edit: Never mind. It is available on iTunes here. I was searching the App Store. Oops.

The highest quality files would come from your CD, not iTunes. :P

Wait, are CD files better quality than, say, iTunes?

Hm ok. I really want to get my hands on a free download of 21CB HD tracks. I'm so tired of the CD files I have.

This place has it: http://www.hdtracks.com/21st-century-breakdown :)

And what do you mean "tired"? Other than the subtle differences you'll hear in clarity, there's nothing to really set them apart from the CD versions. And to even pick up on the clarity, you have to have great headphones/monitors and know what to listen for.

Plus, if you didn't know CD quality was better than "iTunes quality," (from your post above) I would recommend saving your money as you definitely will not notice or appreciate the better quality of the HD Tracks version.

Wait, are CD files better quality than, say, iTunes?

Without going into the fascinating (not sarcastic) science behind why, the short answer is "yes."

(By "iTunes" I assume you mean the m4a files you get served if you purchase something from the store. And even if you mean the program's mp3 encoder, it's not the greatest - LAME will do a better job. If you even have a copy of Adobe Audition, I would recommend using its mp3 encoder as it produces less artifacts than almost anything else out there.)

I don't plan on opening mine, either. I like the shiny RSD sticker on the wrapping

So I got another "Red Vinyl (EU Pressing)" yesterday. Does anyone want to trade or buy it? I opened it to check if it's RED or CLEAR vinyl.

Please PM me!

Can't believe that after all this time I'm finally listening to this now. Love it so far, and I'm just at the edge of 99 Revolutions. It's how this sorta music should be, no polishing or perfection!
