I'm willing to do a trade or something with someone. They didn't have the CD so I bought the red/clear vinyl of the album instead so I'll trade that for the CD. These ebay prices are out of control

I was thinking of buying a second tape to trade for the CD with someone on here but I figured then I'd be screwing a fan at the store. Then again,like I said this whole RSD event is filled with E-bayers as evidenced by the number of Demolicious pieces online. There were only 3,000 of them released yet there are over 100 e-bay listings? I really hope that Green Day puts this out eventually for fans with a full-release.

My local store still had vinyl and CD. they put on hold for me since I couldn't make it to the store today. Going tomorrow to pick up. They said that there wasn't much of a demand. Maybe I can get a couple of extra if anyone needs any.

Wait, there really were only 3000 released? Where'd you hear that?

Whoa! Mine was only $30.

Everything gets a big markup in Australia, plus it's an import as well.

According to the list from Warner the vinyl was set for 2,400 and cassette a 1,000 they made no mention of a limit for the CDs

Of course that doesn't nessicary mean there not a limit there could be but I don't see why they'd mention the limit of the vinyl and cassette but keep the cd secret who knows tho Warner does do strange things

Oh, that one. But that didn't list any limits. The RSD site itself only made mention of limits to the vinyl. But, I do recall seeing the limits to the cassette at some random record store's website, so there's that. I guess I'll just have to assume the worse, and hope for the best - that's usually the best thing to do, I've realized.

The fact that everyone is butthurt about the whole ebay situation with the album is hilarious to me. Calling people disgraceful fans and everything... Lol

Yeah, but the point of RSD is to boost interest in independent record stores and keep them alive, not grab stuff you're not interested in purely to make a profit on eBay. It's totally missing the point, especially when these people probably don't set foot in a record store until the next RSD, and is pretty shitty to be honest. I can't see a fan of the band doing that, surely they'd get something they're less interested in if they only want to sell it.

Hmmm,well maybe a CD will pop up next week around here. Are those numbers you mentioned US only? Do you think at some point we will get a wide release of this album kinda like how Quatro came out on it's own or are these different situations?

I got vinyl and cassette, no stores around me had the cd. Anyway, to anyone who got the clear vinyl, on the sticker that said 18 demos blah blah blah does the bottom by the code say (K1)? I wonder if clears have a different code than red

If there is a wide release, I doubt it will be on cassette - there's just not enough interest. A wide release would probably be a digital download and additional pressings of the CD, and (if we are lucky) plain old black vinyl.

No shit. A true fan doesn't buy one just to sell it on e-bay. If I had bought two tapes I would have traded one to someone on here for the CD or sold it to a member on here at cost. I wish GD would announce a release in the next few weeks just so fans wouldn't think the only way they could get this is by paying inflated prices.

I sense a lot of pissed off people buying them for massively inflated prices on eBay then realising the CD will be available long-term.

I pretty sure the K1 means it's the 'clear' one. My copy says that too and it's a clear. I saw a photo of the 'Red' vinyls sticker (http://www.greenday-collection.de/albums/demolicious/), and it has a completely different SKU. So I think that's the best way to determine the colour.

Clear = 1-541860 (K1)

Red = 9362-49387-5

I know what the point of record store day is but that is what happens to everything now. So I don't know why everyone is shocked and upset by this. Just saying

I'd love a CD if they have any left. PM me if you get it and we can exchange info so I can pay you and for the shipping. :) Thanks!
