Green Day to release LP titled "Demolicious" to support Record Store Day

So it looks like no stores with copies of the CD are making it available for mail-order anywhere. If anyone picked up an extra copy of the CD today and is looking for a buyer, please PM me here or DM me on Twitter.

The Exchange in town only got one CD! Luckily Brandon got off work at 7:30 a.m. today and went over there to get me it before going to bed. We know the people who work there pretty well, and they showed him right was it was when he walked in.

Slept in AND got my copy of Demolicious. Happy Saturday to me! I truly don't deserve him.

I woke up around 8am and decided "fuck it, I'll go check out the line at the store." When I got there, there were only five people in line so I parked and joined them. 90 minutes later, the store opened and I went right in and grabbed a copy on CD and cassette (why the heck not?). Unfortunately they didn't have a vinyl :( Luckily, Jimmy got me a copy of the vinyl and shipped it!

What kind of stuff do bands even put out for record day? Just live and demo albums like this or what?

A lot of reissues on colored vinyl.

I got the last CD and the last vinyl at my store! I don't think I'll be opening it, so idk what color. They didn't have cassette, but the guy at the store said they weren't out and he can one for me. So hopefully they'll get it and I can go back next week.

Think he can hold onto a second cassette? I could use one, too. If possible, I can buy it directly from him if he's unwilling to sell you two.

Also, at my store, no line, only 5 people there. 20 minutes after opening. Definitely going there again from now on. It's a mess there, no organization.

I'll have to see if they got any extra when they call me back. I'd imagine there's a minimum order limit so Warner isn't sending out just one cassette, if they get multiple, I'll be picking up 3 or 4

I have decided not to open the cassette. Mainly because I have no use for it, but I think it'd be cool to keep it wrapped.

My local record stores sold out immediately. After calling over 20 stores in my state I finally found a store with one CD left!! :D I'm super stoked that I was able to find one!

Ohio or Michigan (judging by your concert location in your sig)?

Basically, yeah. Hell, a lot of bands just get away with releasing old stuff on vinyl for the first time and that can be enough of a draw.

Thanks man! If the store wants to sell directly, I'd be willing to give you my email address to pass on to the owner - my plans for this morning (picking up a diehard-fan buddy of mine who is home from school in Baltimore, and getting to Silver Spring by 6 a.m. to wait in line at Record Exchange) got scuttled in the worst possible way. Kinda sad that your local store only had a couple of people at opening.

I know most of the people in Rochester went to the Record Archeive instead, that's more downtown. I went to the House of Guitars. They had a wide selection, but no more than 4 copies of each record. The only thing I didn't find was the Nirvana 7". Sorry your plans got ruined, hope things get better!

If anyone in the San Francisco bay area is still looking, Rasputin Records store in the Fairfield Solano Mall has a lot of copies of the CD. But you better get there quickly, I got there at 10AM when it opened and there's a lot of people. CD only. Didn't see the vinyl or cassette.

My record store didn't have it, even though they ordered it. I was kind of disappointed. But I got nearly every other record on my list, so that's cooL! :D

I waited for around two hours and got a copy on clear vinyl and cassette (along with some other artists' stuff)! :) I didn't even want the vinyl at first, but they never got any CDs. The place gave out a ton a free stuff (including a bag with three CDs and a 7") to everyone. A nearby restaurant/catering place brought coffee and food while we were waiting to go in. Everyone was really nice. Overall, it was a very good experience.

However, I did buy 2 vinyl copies and an extra CD!!!!! (Bloody expensive though. $50 for one vinyl!)

Whoa! Mine was only $30.

Fuck, the scalpers have already gotten to the album... is the cassette seriously limited to 100 copies?

I hope so, since I got one.

LOL it's so funny how people are freaking out about if it will sell out at their stores when literally almost no one cares or knows about Demolicious besides us.

Yup. The store I went to had like five copies of the vinyl, even after most people went through.

I also picked up the Cage the Elephant 7'!

Same! :)

Damn, I must have missed a box, cause there's no way my store didn't have any of the Nirvana 7". I might actually be going back because my mom wants to buy all the Grateful Dead records and scalp them on ebay. Totally not cool mom, but I can't hate on her too much because she did buy my records for me :P

Holy shit! I sure hope not! Any proof on this? I don't wanna shell out $50 on ebay for a cassette I ain't even gonna open

I'm not sure if it's limited (I'm hoping not, and I do believe that the "limited to..." is a mistake if not a lie). In any case, though, the scalpers are doing their dirty work.
