solongfromthestars
I don't get the When It's Time hate, I have to say. It's a sweet picture of an infatuated 18 (or 19? I don't remember) year-old who's trying to articulate genuine feelings. I do like a lot of his other songs about Adrienne, though.
Little Boy Named Booze
All the losers that were meant to take the time to say What was really on their mind, instead They just hide away. Those lyrics were so powerful for me during High school.

Still think Amy is hands down the very worst song he's ever written and by a long way.

I can say the same about When It's Time but he's written many more love songs that I like better while there's only one Amy so it has to do
Goofygoldfish
I used to think When it's time was good, than I saw AI musical and it became a super emotional song for me. Now one of my faves. Sorry not sorry! Amy grates on me sometimes, but isn't one I skip often.
Hermione
I like Amy. I also appreciate the sentiment and while acoustic songs will never be my favourite I think it's a very good end to Dos, gives the whole album a darker and sadder edge. Oh but I remembered another Adrienne song that I don't like so much, 80. I know he was young but the level of melodrama gets to be a bit much even for me . I guess I do kind of like it because of the sentiment and cuteness of how over the top it is but a lot of it does make me cringe (especially when he goes "not as long as there are girls like yewwwww *dramatic guitar noise*" lol)

LBNT and Youngblood are also fine. The worst GD song is Strangeland

I don't like how it fades out either But as far as worst goes I thought we were only talking songs about Adrienne, 80 is nowhere near their worst song. Strangeland could be it. That whole Sweet Children EP is pretty dodgy. I think it can be excused since they're clearly very old songs (Billie wrote Best Thing in Town at like 14 I believe, I'd guess the others weren't much later), and they just recorded them quickly because they happened to get some studio time when on tour and thought they might as well get them recorded. But it's still not very good

Squashie
Last Night on Earth hits me. If there ever was a sappy Billie Joe song, that is it (for me). I do like When It's Time but that last verse seems oddly written when I listen to it. It all makes since, lyrically, just feels awkward.
Montclare
When It's Time has always been my most conflicted GD song. The changing verb tense drives me insane. And it's a million times better with just Billie and a guitar than full band. Full band makes it sound like when a 70s band (like the Eagles or Fleetwood Mac) would get back together in the 90s and not know which decade they were supposed to sound like.

Ooo, this, definitely better just Billie, like the one at the end of the AI musical album. I don't have any (honestly) GD songs I don't like, some become overplayed and I get tired of them, then I miss them and welcome them back like a long lost friend.
Zebahar
The unpopular opinions are flowing out of me now. During their shows when they play Jesus of Suburbia, I hate that 2-3 minute “ooooohhhh” thing Billie has the crowd do right after the “I don’t feel any pain” part. It kinda kills the feeling for me since my practically winded by the end of it.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a bit of a break but it interrupts the flow when it's too stretched

Beerjeezus
Now that's an controversial opinion!!! Truth is, he's written better lyrics but neither they're bad. Actually among the best from the trilogy.

Christian's Inferno!
Lazy Bones does have some bad lyrics... (i.e. Everyone keeps talking and they can’t shut the fuck up cause I’m so tired) ...but overall I think it's solid lyrically, especially by trilogy standards
