I don't hate it, but it's probably my least fave from the Warning album. Nothing special, imo.

Me too. It’s fun to sing along to, and I like their acoustic sound.

My friend really likes it but I just don't know why but I can't stand it. I think it has to do with the sound production. A lot of the songs on warning are like that, like there's a tiny delay during the ending of Deadbeat Holiday. I don't really like the breakdown in warning either, with the alarms and the vibrato. And it's ALWAYS on the compilation albums. I would rather have Deadbeat Holiday, Waiting, or Macy's Day Parade on the compilations.

Warning is my second favorite song on Warning (after Misery).  And seeing as Picture Book was one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar, was quite easy to learn. :)

Honestly, I don't pay attention to production stuff, so I wouldn't know about that. The breakdown is okay. But I just like how bouncy and catchy it is in general. It's not their best song and not even the strongest from that album, but it's fun!

It was a sure sign that Green Day was branching out and stretching the boundaries of punk itself. It was the first incorporation of something the you wouldn't expect to be in a punk song (like a siren) that Green Day wrote, and in that sense it was very experimental, but it was pretty successful when it came out. It helped define the album and set the stage for songs like Misery and Hold On. It's not my favorite song, but it's not a song I or fans across the world will forget.

I don't understand the hate Warning (song and album) get. While it's much less now than what I imagine it was when it released, it still gets the odd person saying they hate it and I don't get why. The song Warning is catchy and fun, and I think it acts as a little preview of the social commentary that would come with Minority and of course, AI after that.

Warning is my 4th favourite GD album, after 21CB, AI and Dookie

The thing is, I used to find Warning as an album quite meh (though I really  love it now), with my stand-out / favourite songs being Minority and Warning. In fact, I've always absolutely loved Warning (the song). The tight drums and walking bass line just make it such a fun song. The structure doesn't vary much, it gets a bit repetitive towards the end, but just the intro of the song alone is enough to get me hooked. The only really negative thing I could think of, is the fact that some of it might be taken from a song by the Kinks. I still think GD came up with it and it just happens to sound similar, but there's no denying that part of the two songs sounds very much alike.

Billie Joe talks too much in group interviews i would also like to hear Mike and Tre too instead they sit in silence

That's usually how it is when one member is deemed frontman or leader. They do most of the talking.

Yeah, Billie is the front man of Green Day. He's the lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter so accordingly has the most to say about the songwriting of the album and such.

Yeah, Billie has the most to say. I will say this though: sometimes he takes waaaaaaay too long to finish a sentence. With all "um"s and "ah"s and "y'know"s, it sometimes feels like he's talking in slo-mo. He's lucky he has such a nice voice though - I'll never get bored of hearing him talk.

Goodbye to Romance and Body Bag suck

Funny you should say that, because I’m not even sure that’s necessarily an unpopular opinion (the latter certainly isn’t, not so sure about the former though). However, I love both songs. On first listen Body Bag may seem to drag on a bit, but after a few plays, I kind of get the dirty / unclean sound they were going for. Some may call it indie / artistic, others may simply call it objectively shitty / out of time / lousy playing. Personally, as I said, I kind of like it. As for Goodbye To Romance: that’s a really good cover in my opinion. Maybe you don’t like the original or you’re not so keen on ballads in general, but I think it’s arguably a very good rendition of the original song. I think both Billie’s voice and the guitar work really fit the mood. Quite possibly the best Billie / Green Day ballad since ‘’When It’s Time’’ (even if this is just a cover).

Eric, I'm not trying to argue with you, but you manage to turn almost every post you make in the GD chat section of this forum into a petty argument, and it's getting so tiring. There, is that clear enough for ya?

That's ok, no matter how many likes your post may get, not my fault I think differently. You guys do exactly what you claim me to do.... that is pretty sad

Honestly, Eric, I have no idea what you're going on about. If you wanna PM me, go ahead. If not, please just leave it.
