I don't usually skip any, but Ashley, SDV, and A little boy named train are probably the trilogy songs I like the less. But lyrically they are still great. And @pacejunkie punk SDV being the prelude to TDTD is I actually like better the Demolicious version of Sex, Drugs and Violence. And funnily he says "too young to die" instead of "too dumb to die" and in Carpe Diem : "are we all too young to die?"

Whenever I hear it, it just puts a smile on my face. And I don't care if people think the lyrics are bad cause I find them quite amusing. On the subject of Tre, I really really like Walk Away. It's not the kind of song I would usually like, but for some reason, it was one of the first Trilogy songs to grab my attention. It seems so underrated and nobody ever seems to talk about it. Count me in as another Troublemaker lover. If you said that on the reddit sub, you'd be down-voted to oblivion. They hate it there. And Walk Away is extremely underrated. Definitely top third of the trilogy. 3
letsdanceon
I cannot stand the song "Amy" and have to skip. My least favorite GD song of all-time. It sounds so "off" to me it makes me cringe

The only thing that’s funny about it to me is he plagiarized himself when he wrote it — it’s the tune of Shoplifter 1
DookieLukie
I've come around a lot with the Trilogy after not liking it for a while. Sure, it still feels off and doesn't have that normal Green Day feel, but that might have to do with the events that followed its release and not being able to fully experience the music. But if you forget it's Green Day for a bit or even pretend it's a side project, a lot of it is objectively well-made music with some really cool sounds. Loss of Control isn't my favourite Trilogy song but I still like it. This live version of Kill the DJ is fabulous Yeah, I saw this well before the album came out and was so thrilled- I thought this was going to be a massive hit (shows you what I know, right) and I couldn't wait for this song to be released. Plus, the bridge on the trailer was so solid and I was certain this was going to be a huge, incredible single. And then the album came out and the studio version was so...flat and disappointing. This band has done nothing but impress me over the years, so it was shocking to say the least. Thank god I still don't have much to complain about as they continue to amaze me, but this was a big letdown and flat moment overall. The studio version was such a monumental drop off from this live performance or from what the song could've been!

Don't find the album version flat and disappointing; the live version may have been better, but to me it's the case for practically all the boys' songs!

Popular Post DookieLukie
"Amy" is a standout song from the Trilogy IMO. Cool, well-written garage acoustic song. It was Green Day trying something new and it works. 4
Hermione
I like Amy, especially as a closer to Dos. But I'll just never like acoustic songs as much as non acoustic. And no I don't prefer it "Dookiefied" (I think not liking any of that is unpopular? I have no interest in it)
jengd
Don't particularly like the Dookiefied version of Amy either, just think it's the weakest song Billie has ever written, there is nothing that makes it better. I think all the Trilogy songs (at least that we've heard) sound better live, but while I like quite a lot of them but am not a great lover of the singles, I am not keen on Kill the DJ or Oh Love, sounds forced to me, nor Loss of Control, Let Yourself Go, overall I probably like Tre best. How's that for an unpopular opinion

Maybe things have changed by now though I don't know.
pacejunkie punk
Surprising that Dos is regarded as the least liked when it’s the closest fans will get to another FHT record.
solongfromthestars
Dos is my second favourite Green Day album after 21st Century Breakdown. I'm sure that remains my most unpopular opinion ever I liked some of the Dookiefied stuff at first just because it's interesting to hear different takes on my favourite songs (I couldn't care less about whether anything actually "sounds like Dookie" or not) but I lost interest when it kept going. 11 hours ago, TimmyChunks said: Yeah, I saw this well before the album came out and was so thrilled- I thought this was going to be a massive hit (shows you what I know, right) and I couldn't wait for this song to be released. I know what you mean though because that's how I felt about Sweet 16 - this live version sounded like so much fun and then I felt the studio version was flat and disappointing. Not a huge deal because I like almost everything else on the Trilogy, and there'll be one song I don't like on most albums. I think that's one of the more popular Trilogy songs in general though? No idea which Trilogy songs are/aren't hated these days

The Grohl
I still think Uno is my favorite out of the trilogy. Not all the songs are great, but they have a great, fun, energetic vibe I really dig. I actually listened to all three albums over the weekend and remembered some great songs I forgot about. Yeah, there are some stinkers, but there are a lot of better songs than I remembered.
pouty bitch
Dos is my favourite of the trilogy, and it might even be in my top 5 GD albums ever. I like every song on it, except for Wow! That's loud (which I don't dislike, I just find it kind of meh). Lady Cobra is one of my favourite songs ever. 1
Popular Post Christian's Inferno!
I've heard a lot of people say that Uno's their least favourite, a lot say Dos is their least favourite and a lot say Tré is their least favourite. That's probably why I don't think the trilogy was a bad idea. Each person has a differing opinion on which album is best or worst. I think that most people that give all 3 albums a fair try will like at least one of the albums or at least one albums-worth of the trilogy

No idea which Trilogy songs are/aren't hated these days I think we're on the same page- both sounded kind of "sterile" in the studio vs. the live versions. I'm not an audio engineer and I know the experts on here have discussed this many times, but the mix on many of the songs was a little to artificially clean- and I love the Trilogy, I think there are a ton of great songs in there, the studio product just fell flat at times unfortunately. I'd take 95% of those songs live any day, however. And I still listen to all three albums as they're a great body of work. Hell, I listen to 1,039 and Kerplunk all the time, I'm not about to let some nitpicks about the recording quality get in the way of enjoying good music. But it's a minor nitpick that I think about when I listen to the trilogy- especially Uno- sometimes it's a little too glossy.
