The jarring effect of the evil verses and then a totally unexpectedly different catchy chorus is what I enjoy most about the song. Without a doubt! I remember that guy, he was mildly successful here a few years ago. Honestly if Nightlife sounds like him it's a bonus He was?!? I thought it was myself and like 400 other people that knew him. Lol. LaughingClock
To all the peeps that seem to like Nightlife, did you check out the Apple Music links I posted earlier? They are right up Nightlife peeps alley. REPEAT Har Mar Superstar (Dude literally shows up at house parties and shit to perform, granted nice ones like in Malibu. He's sort of an industry joke. He produces, writes, performs and sings like a sexy mofo but well, he is not that AT ALL and it's so funny. At a show, he gets down to his thong. I love him. Too funny). BTW, he's a Menapolisian Hollywood transplant. Tell me this song doesn't sound like Nightlife. PLAY THE HIGHLIGHTED track, "Bird in the Hand". https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/bird-in-the-hand/id383550640?i=383550670 And for some more Har Mar fun (tell me he doesn't sound like Timberlake). I actually love this song: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/save-the-strip/id383550640?i=383550663 (Play track with arrow) One of my personal Har Mar songs: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/cut-me-up/id383550640?i=383550657 (Play track with arrow "As Seasons" Now this is what he looks like: Listen to the above songs first. I don't even know this one but after listening to the songs above, check out Har Mar in all his glory. This is the only video I could find.

We get it, we get pumped to Blitzkrieg Bop/Bohemian Rhapsody before they come on stage, then the drunk bunny, then the set list, then ending with Good Riddance. I just feel like things haven't changed in over ten years. I saw them a couple of weeks ago and the whole show for me was like muscle memory, but not necessarily in a good way. There were some awesome little moments, but for the most part, I knew everything that was gonna happen. I know that being on tour and with being such a popular band, they have to stick to routine to make sure everything goes smoothly. But can't they change the routine? It's gotten old. I agree about the pre-show intro, the last two tours it has been enjoyable but I hope they use some different intro songs next tour. When I saw them in 2013, they ended with "Brutal Love". It was an okay ending I guess, but too abrupt. It's a decent song, but not a good closer imo. I'd rather have "Good Riddance" as the standard concert closer.

I never used to like "Good Riddance" as a closer because Billie was the only one onstage. But when I saw them this tour Tre and Mike came out for the last half of the song and Tre strummed the final note on Billie's guitar. I thought it was a perfect ending, with the confetti too. With "Brutal Love" the song was good but after the last line Billie yelled "thank you Chicago" they hit a final note and ran off. It all seemed way too abrupt. Tre may have tossed drumsticks out but they were offstage within 5 seconds of the song ending,

The Grohl
I'm happy I got to hear both endings, but there's a soft spot in my heart for Brutal Love, so I was thrilled when they ended with that on the 99 Revolutions tour.
deadair
I honestly thought "Dirty Rotten Bastards" would have made a great closer. It's definitely my favorite Green Day epic since "Jesus of Suburbia"/'Homecoming". Unpopular opinion: "Forever Now" is decent, but I don't see why it should be more than a one tour song. It's nowhere near as good as "Dirty Rotten Bastards" which was barely even played, yet alone a whole tour. Don't get me wrong I think there are classics that should be replayed on future tours from Revolution Radio, I just don't think that "Forever Now" is one of them. "Troubled Times" wasn't even played enough on this tour. I would vote that as a classic for future tours.
The Grohl
I'm not a fan of "Troubled Times." Something about the music, the tone, the vocals, the melody is completely off to me. I know a lot of people here like, but that's one I always skip on RevRad, so I'm glad they didn't play it when I saw them last year. It would've been cool to hear Dirty Rotten Bastards. That's one song I always forget is super good.
deadair
I was glad I saw "Ordinary World" at my show this tour as the first acoustic song instead of "21 Guns" or "Wake Me Up When September Ends" which they used later in the summer. I have no desire to see "21 Guns" acoustic done by Billie as I saw it electric in 2009 and I think it's better that way. Although I wouldn't mind seeing "Wake Me Up When September Ends" how they did it on the 2010 tour (which no shows came near me except a festival) and on Awesome As Fuck, but just Billie doing it by himself doesn't really appeal to me. -Billiejoezee-
Oh my god I was so mad when they'd end with brutal love instead of good riddance. It just didn't feel right. It was missing. And the whole song just feels off, just like you said. Probably my least favourite song on the album. 2
