pouty bitch
I love Take Back and I have never understood the hate for it. It's one of the reasons why Nimrod is my favourite album. I also love Christian's Inferno. I love the intro and the verses because they sound so sinister. And the evil laugh is perfection.

I've never got the hate for both of those either, people don't appreciate deliciously evil GD songs I guess 54 minutes ago, gnash said: The lyrics are the only bit of that song I like... I generally like the lyrics of Warning the album less than any other. It's just the style of them, like it's cool that they started looking more outwardly at society but the way they did it just isn't quite to my taste. I can't quite describe what it is but one thing is it's a lot of slogan type lyrics, and I know that was deliberate as part of the theme but that style just doesn't grab me like the style of the lyrics on other albums. "Do the anorex-a-go-go, cloaked with style for pedophiles as your credit card explodes".....ehh.
solongfromthestars
Aww I love The Forgotten and Fashion Victim. I find The Forgotten really moving and a perfect end to the Trilogy. Take Back isn't my favourite Green Day song but I don't hate it. As for Christian's Inferno I don't get the hate

"Do the anorex-a-go-go, cloaked with style for pedophiles as your credit card explodes".....ehh. Normally we feel the same but I feel the exact opposite to you on this! I thought a lot of the Warning lyrics were genius, and the slogan type was actually a reason why I thought that. "A conscientious objector to the war that's in my mind" is one that sticks out. Though funnily enough you've pinpointed my least favourite lyric, just because I think it doesn't make a lot of sense. I think 21CB took some cues from Warning in terms of songwriting style as it has some similar traits. 19 minutes ago, Maria Gloria said: Aww I love The Forgotten and Fashion Victim. Chin for a Day
Here I am, Take Back and Christian Inferno hater!!! I personally don't like the super angry songs that are just Billie in a rage. They are incredibly repetitive and just cringeworthy angry. For Christian's Inferno, the verses are angry, but the tone of the chorus is happy and smiley. Its like Metallica wrote the verses and The Wiggles wrote the chorus. It just doesn't fit at all. I like The Forgotten. I think Billie sounds pretty on it and I appreciate them stepping outside their comfort zone. I honestly never knew people didn't like Fashion Victim. I think the lyrics are brilliant. I think it is a fun song.

I need that collaboration now The way I see Christian's Inferno is that the verses are him on the edge, and the chorus is the fall into insanity, hence the upbeat sound to it. From a musical point of view it sorta makes sense to me that way. Take Back is alright but the verses are kind of annoying in some places because it sounds like he's just run out of angry things to say and is just spouting nonsense
