Live though - its on a par with FN.

Tre's drum solo live & on the album gets me everytime.

Yes great live, although I wouldn't put it in FN's league and I haven't seen most of the others live for comparison :P

Hermione you betrayed us, I was just going to say Hermione wouldn't hate on Bang Bang

I agree there are other great songs on the album and I've been enjoying them more because they were less overplayed but bb has grown on me again after some time. I like how fast and punk it is and the unusual structure makes it stand out.

Fast/simpler songs like that always end up lower down on the list for me, just the way it goes. American Idiot goes the same way.

Hate the fact that everyone hates Youngblood

It's a fun song and it takes us to a break from a dramatic album to just dance.

I feel the same about AI even though it's usually the fast songs that become my faves.

I will admit its fun live but absolutely hate the song - I am embarrassed to play it in front of anyone.

Youngblood is so silly. I remember listening to it for the first time, thinking it was hilariously bad and laughing so hard. It's the only song I listened to again on its own before putting the album on repeat.

It's fun live, but each time I was like "omg Billie, is this necessary????" but crowds seem to love it and jump like crazy so yeah it was fun in the end even though there are better songs that I'd prefer.

It would work in a cartoon. Someone should mix it into some footage from Tom and Jerry.

That's because watching Green Day live is supposed to be fun

Nothing is on par with fn live. It is in a class by itself

I love Youngblood and I don't even think it's silly, more like pleasantly lighthearted :P and just totally sweet and fun. I don't get why it's disliked.

Youngblood is just so bad lyrically though, I think everything on the album besides Bang Bang is pretty weak in writing but that's just bad, and at the O2 it was followed by 2000LYA which felt to me like saying "have a love song, and now have one for the same person I wrote 25 years ago that's a fuckton better".

I remember reading a review where Billie compared Youngblood to Last of the American Girls because they're both about Adrienne. He said that LOTAG is long in the tooth and he likes Youngblood better.

I love Youngblood :D

Because BJ loves Youngblood;)

2000LYA peeves me live. I have nothing against that song, it's the "are there any old school fans here tonight" that does it. Because yes, they are and they want to hear deep cuts not 2000LYA ffs. Fake advertising.

I actually like that song, but I get so hyped up when he asks and this always lets me down

I love "swear to god and I'm not even superstitious" hehe :D

That is actually the only line I like in the entire song. I despise the song, but it is one of the best lines he has ever written. How ironic.

However, 90% of the fans in the audience have not heard the song before. So to the majority of the audience it is a deep cut.

Youngblood is just a fun lighthearted song not every song has to be epic
