Pretty vivid description too, the poor thing almost strangled Tre. Well they did say Tre would eat anything. I thought @Hermione was referring to the line jumping. 🙂

Jumps lines, eats octopuses - Tré Cool is a living comic villain

Don't know how much of an unpopular opinion this is, but imo, Stop, Drop & Roll (the song, not the album) is better than most of the stuff that they've released as Green Day.

I would take SD&R over anything post-21CB.

Pretty much agree, except for Bang Bang. I'd still take Bang Bang over SD&R.

Weird you say that when it sounds so similar to most of Dos

Exactly what I was thinking :P

If the good tracks off Dos had the same production as SD&R, and the bad tracks were left off, it might be a different story, but as a follow-up to SD&R Dos just falls flat to me.

I can't speak for Hermione, but eating a live octopus is an example of what does it for me

Indeed =/. And on the Pop Disaster tour he put two fish he knew would fight in a bowl and watched them injure/kill each other for fun. Hurting animals for fun is a pretty huge turn off, can only hope he's matured/changed his attitude since then.

Yes, equal to any top tier GD album for me.

Bang Bang is  to me, more than Stop, Drop & Roll, even though I like this song a lot. I would put several other songs post-21st CB over SD&R. Still, I love some songs on the SD&R album as much as (some of) my favorite songs in the trilogy. Mother Mary, The Pedestrian, Broadway for instance.

No you can't say that! :P

Haven't really listened to Op.Ivy, only heard Knowledge but that one is great so can't really compare :P

Well you should listen to them and read the lyrics. Gonna Find You, Artificial Life, Room Without A Window, Freeze Up are all great lesser known songs by them with some of the realest lyrics I've ever come across.

Stop Drop and Roll is a great song. I don't think it is better than any GD work, but it is most definitely equal. I don't think it is even the best song on SD&R, Mother Mary is by far the best song. I love Bang Bang, but I still think it is one of the weaker tracks on RevRad. I actually find myself skipping it at times.

Haven't paid attention to the lyrics much, but Sound System is a bop!

SD&R, MM and Pedestrian are my favorite tubbies tracks.

I really love 27th Ave. Shuffle, Pieces of Truth and She's a Saint Not a Celebrity. But I actually really love every song lol. I think I might've listened to it more than I've listened to any GD album, I just love them doing that style of music (probably why I also like Uno Dos and Tre so much) and the songs are all amazing. Plus the way it came out as such a good surprise means I'll always have great memories of it. I can't believe it'll be 10 years old this year!

Didn't he also beat a shark to death with a baseball bat? I remember reading that and being so disgusted.

Honestly I think that one is made up , like as a really over the top joke boast (ie winning a fight against a great white shark or whatever) that never really happened.

Edit: I mean I'm not sure how that situation would really occur so hopefully that's the case.

Nope - best lead song - best song on the album.  Hope it never leaves the setlist.:)

Sorry dear you are wrong as you usually are. It is above the song that shall not be named and Revolution Radio.

I do still love it though.

Lol I was actually about to make a post in support of your Bang Bang position to this effect . It's a really great song but with so many other good ones jostling for position it's in like, 7th place for me.

Live though - its on a par with FN.

Tre's drum solo live & on the album gets me everytime.

Hermione you betrayed us, I was just going to say Hermione wouldn't hate on Bang Bang

I agree there are other great songs on the album and I've been enjoying them more because they were less overplayed but bb has grown on me again after some time. I like how fast and punk it is and the unusual structure makes it stand out.
