Lyrically and musically, it's fantastic. I agree it is fantastic. IF you read, I did say that I love it. I just think that most of the songs on Rev Rad are better than it. Found it to be the most boring on the entire album originally but the lyrics are great, love when it's gets to the I got no supervision line onwards, best part in the song right to the end. I still find it boring and I skip it every single time. I agree that the lyrics are great though. I hope it ends up growing on me too, I'll try not to skip it
TheOG
Not digging the new album, especially ordinary world... Or SB not sure why they're so popular.
Popular Post St. Jonny
That's definitely unpopular. I have probably listened to the album everyday since it's release and never skip any tracks. Seems to just get better and better and songs I thought were not as good as they could have been have all grown on me immensely! Those would be Outlaws and Bouncing Of The Walls, but I love the shit out of Bouncing now! Short and sweet

I friggin love this song. It's utterly fantastic, the only RevRad song I like and I love it. Though, saying that, related unpopular opinion - it works much better on its own. I've thought it's one of the best punk songs in recent years since it first came out and I still do, but on the album I found it underwhelming even though it's still the same thing, I think it's much more powerful as a standalone statement.

Least we know he can still write a song like bang bang. I like Revrad but it sits bottom third on my list. I very happy that GD can still produce a solid album & I love tres drumming. I was really trying to be unpopular but everyone agreed with me😜 6 hours ago, Scattered Wreck said: I have an unpopular opinion. Yeah, same. However, I attribute it to that fact that I've heard it many times before I got to the whole thing so it's more overplayed. Yep. I experience this too. I think it's because it stands out less that way and I'm usually more interested in hearing the rest of the album than the song I've heard a thousand times.

Now, I also tend to skip Boulevard of Broken Dreams on a listen of AI and Know Your Enemy on 21CB because I've simply overplayed them and they are not my favorite tracks on the respective albums.

St. Jonny
Was just thinking yesterday about BOBD and that it is obviously an amazing song that has been overplayed by radio stations and what not but if it was never made a single or put on the radio and was only big amongst Green Day fans kind of the way a track like Whatsername is, we would all probably be asking, why the hell didn't they make this a single? It is such a great track it was overplayed right into the ground, especially with folks who don't follow the band. If it was more of a deep cut, I think we would all think of it so much differently. Just a thought, could be unpopular.
letsdanceon
Going to Pasalacqua is the greatest Green Day song ever recorded. I don't know that I would even call it my favorite, but I still think it's the greatest. At the very least, it's untouchable. I don't find it the all time greatest myself but I get that, it is extremely great and one of the songs that could be called definitive Green Day I think. Used to be such a good show opener with that long note at the beginning. Plus it's the only song I know that contains the phrase "What the hey!", which is awesome
RougeRogue
The way I feel about Oh Love is very similar to the way I think most people here feel about Know Your Enemy. This was the revelation I had yesterday.

Libertine Angel
Oh Love took a while to grow on me, I thought it was average when I first heard it but I think it's pretty good now, I always liked Know Your Enemy though.

St. Jonny
To pick between the two, I would pick Oh Love. Both are good, love the oh love solo.
Popular Post RougeRogue
My issue with Oh Love yesterday was that it was obnoxiously fucking long with no variation. Like...ok...I can handle your basic catchy riff for like...3 minutes. But 5? Jesus fucking christ, I was so over it.
