Libertine Angel
Funny, I like it therefore, being played at high speed. So do I, it's just a manic over-the-top explosion of FUCK YEAH!!!!
Mykee Mexx
It does sound great a little bit faster, but the way they blast through it like they're Dragonforce totally kills the impact of the ending. Plus Billie's vocal timing is all over the place when they play it so fast. Maybe it's because I'm an over-analytical music snob but it totally took me out of the moment last time I saw them do it. Okay, I see, what you mean. I´m not analytical, in fact, I don´t know anything about music. I just enjoy this high speed, so I can´t complain. So do I, it's just a manic over-the-top explosion of FUCK YEAH!!!! This describes it perfectly!
Beerjeezus
Just listened to Loss Of Control and enjoyed it. Didn't mind Troublemaker, either. I still don't get the line "I'm not straight, 'cause I'm bent out of shape". I see it's supposed to be a pun, but I fail to see the joke.

Yeah, Troublemaker's lyrics are awful but its general sound isn't too bad. Loss Of Control is pretty cool too.

I love the music and the attitude of Troublemaker. I just wish the lyrics weren't so fucking nonsensical, but I still find myself singing along in the car. "AYY. I LIKE UR BM-DOUUUUBLEYOU."

AlissaGoesRAWR
I looked up the lyrics to Take Back for the first time. I actually... don't hate the song now? What is this?

I don't hate the Trilogy now. I blame sun eruptions.
Popular Post AlissaGoesRAWR
Also, am I the only one who thinks Amanda would've been a totally kickass song if the recording wasn't so fucked up? Like, why does Billie sound like he's underwater? And why did they take out the cool intro riff, the catchiest part of the whole song? It's like they took each trilogy song and said "hey, let's suck the life out of each one before we stick it on the record."

Amanda is in my top five Trilogy songs, but as you say, I can't bear to listen to the studio version. It may bear the worst filter suckage of any of the 37 songs. AlissaGoesRAWR
This YouTube video of Amanda live is seriously the best. The part where he's talking about people being a recurring dream in your life... and how Amanda is the girl from She, Whatsername and I assume Stuart and the Ave... and then he builds up this hype with the awesome riff and "naming the girl"... ... and then it turms into the shittiest studio version of the entire trilogy. </3 (Can anyone make out what the bridge is in this original version, before they stole it from Gabriella?)

Those songs suck ass though, the effect is made worse by the fact that the song is great but the vocals sound like he's OD'd on helium.

Yeah, fair point. I guess it is more tragic when a great song is ruined by the performance/production than when a song is just crap to start with. Here's lookin' at you, Dylan. AlissaGoesRAWR
So he was on his best behaviour the first concert you saw - I would thank adi for that. Yup, I've only seen him on the 99 Revolutions Tour (Pittsburgh, March 31, 2013) and this past month in Cleveland for the House of Blues and induction ceremony. All incredibly sober performances, but I love him all the same. I just have a bit of a fetish for drunkenness, I guess, being the lush that I am.

AlissaGoesRAWR
...how? I write about schools, and I'm constantly mistaken for a high schooler. Don't ask me how. I wish I looked like this when I was in high school. It would've been a lot easier experience, I assume.
